As Good as Family Guy
21 January 2021
If you enjoy Seth Macfarlane's type of humour you will love this. A real hidden gem, certainly hilarious, off colour and non PC. Not for kids. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Seek this out.

Montreal's Robin Williams
2 October 2020
In my opinion, it IS true to say that Ted Ziegler was on par with Robin Williams as his humour was all ad lib with very little preparation and always unpredicatable and wild. Ted did many "in person" ad lib appearances throughout Montreal at family restaurants and was loved by young and old alike. Ted was not only funny, we was loved.

An Excellent Addendum to the Movie: JFK
21 April 2016
If you recall the beginning of Oliver Stone's film JFK, a young woman is tossed out of a car on a deserted highway. She is picked up by State Police, claiming that she is aware of a plot to assassinate JFK. This movie picks up this strand where Oliver Stone leaves it. A perfect addendum to JFK, the film fills in many blanks and does not repeat nor contradict what has gone before.

By looking more closely at the CIA/Mafia links, the viewer gains a greater understanding of the background preparation concerning the hit on JFK and shines a far greater light of the CIA's use of the mob and Corsican hit men to do their work on American soil.

Also illustrates Canada's position as the ideal escape corridor for subversive activity. Definitely worth a close look.

If I want History I'll Read a History Book
18 October 2015
I thought it was appropriate to reflect on the following issue, "Is historical accuracy relevant to the quality of a film?" If it is manufactured to provide a true representation of history, maybe so. But if it as manufactured as an entertainment vehicle, maybe not.

As a piece of fiction, I believe this film to be one of the finest works of western lore ever recorded. It appeals to both men and women. It promotes ethical values. And it fills the viewer with the full range of emotions that it is expected to.

I won't waste your time with the details of the plot, you can find that by the ton here. All I can tell you is that I believe that anyone who is willing to invest the time will absolutely love this.
