George Lucas' Masterpiece
22 May 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Revenge of the Sith is the best film George Lucas has ever directed and is the cornerstone of the Star Wars Saga. The most emotional and moving Star Wars film is anchored by the best acting of the series. Hayden Christensen fully embraces the darkside and makes his transformation from Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker into the evil Darth Vader believable. Ian McDiarmid steals every scene he's in as the devilish Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Frank Oz as the fully digital Yoda is so real you forget he comes from a computer. Strong support also comes from Natalie Portman as Padme Amidala, Sam Jackson as Mace Windu and Jimmy Smits as Bail Organa. However it is Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi who is the center of the film as well of the prequel trilogy. He has elevated the Jedi Master Kenobi, played by Sir Alec Guinness in the original trilogy, to become the heart and soul of the Saga.

A perfect film and a triumphant conclusion to the series.

The funniest and most creative film in years.
24 March 2004
I rented this film the other day because I love Looney Tunes and the mixing of animation and live action. This is the funniest film I have seen in ages. There are more gags and jokes per minute then some entire films I've seen. Animation buffs will adore the care the animators have taken to bring Bugs, Daffy and the Looney Tunes gang to the big screen. James Bond fans will also enjoy this film as Timothy Dalton spoofs his role as 007 playing an actor/secret agent. Fans of parodies like Airplane! and The Naked Gun will also find much to love as the film has a rapid fire approach to gags and jokes. There's so many gags you'll be seeing something new everytime you see the film.

I would say this film will be even more enjoyable for adults then children, although the whole family can watch it. Quite frankly this is the funniest film of 2003. See it today.

John Henry (2000)

A great Disney short in the classic tradition.
8 December 2003
I read about this film being made and that it would be released to theaters to play in front of Disney films released during the year. Well I never did see it and had forgotten about it when I saw that it would be included on a special DVD with several of the other Disney Tall Tale classics, Paul Bunyan, Johnny Appleseed and Casey Jones.

John Henry is an excellent short and it deserves a much higher rating. As mentioned the animation is made to look unfinished and rough. This only adds to the charm of the film. The music is also outstanding and the story is touching. I hope more people will check out John Henry as well as the other shorts on the DVD.
