Pathaan is a High Octane Action Thriller. The storyline however is simple and honestly nothing new. But overall this film is good entertainment. It is enjoyable with commendable action sequences. The sound and special effects make it a tremendous cinematic experience. This film gets a strong 7/10. It was awesome to see Shah Rukh Khan after a long time on the big screen. Deepika Padukone... cannot find any other words... just "smashed it!" John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia did well and provide good support. Pathan joins the Spy Universe (War and The Tiger Franchise) created by Yash Raj films.

I remember watching and enjoying this mini-series in the late 80s and early 90s. This mini-series is produced and directed by the creators of Mahabharat. I watched it after watching Mahabharat, and it was interesting to see the same actors in different roles. The mini-series has a gripping plot and runs at a decent pace, and I recommend watching it. The leading cast members Mukesh Khanna and Girja Shankar have performed well. Mayur Verma and Gufi Paintal's performances deserve a special mention, especially Gufi Paintal. He played the character of the villainous Shakuni in Mahabharat convincing well; in this mini-series, he, with great ease, plays a positive role which shows how versatile he is. Overall a good solid 8 out of 10.
