TOS as TNG
21 July 2023
This is one of the best episodes of the series, second only to "A Quality of Mercy" from season one. It features the first meetings of Kirk and Uhura as well as Kirk and Spock. Uhura and another Starfleet officer are hearing strange noises and seeing strange things that may or may not be real. The Strange New Worlds characters are just supporting characters as this episode focuses mainly on our favorites from TOS. While the main characters are TOS, the story is very much straight out of TNG. In fact, this is a perfect example of a TNG-style story played out by TOS characters. I'm liking this Kirk more and more.

Now That's More Like It!
7 July 2022
After a mostly lackluster first season, Strange New World finally puts it all together, swings for the fences, and hits it out of the park! This is a great episode, not just of SNW but also of Star Trek. Intense, emotional, and relevant, it seamlessly weaves numerous elements together in a near-perfect tapestry of Star Trek lore. Bravo!

True Science Fiction
4 April 2022
This is a great, often overlooked and undervalued episode. It features a true science fiction plot, wherein powerful, noncorporial but benevolent aliens who may be responsible for life on Earth take over the bodies of Kirk, Spock, and Dr. Ann Mulhall so they can exist in our world. Great acting by Shatner and Nimoy, although Diana Muldaur is less than stellar. Plus, it features a speech by Kirk that perfectly sums up the Star Trek mythos.

Excellent

Wow, what a beginning! Looks like an exciting season if they can keep the momentum. Hopefully, the show runners learned some lessons from season one and are able to build successfully on this start, something that season one failed miserabley at, except for Data.

Finally, a great episode for this season!
3 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It took all season, but Curb finally gave us a great episode, by far the best of season 11. What is more "Larry" than Larry appropriating a pair of shoes from a Holocaust exhibit? And his "perfect" phone call? I'm sure some will be offended but, if you are, you really shouldn't be watching this show.

My all-time favorite film.
7 April 2019
I was 10 years old when this film was released. It was the first film I just couldn't wait to see. The poster really caught my imagination. Great acting, direction, and production design. And John Williams' music is one of the great underrated film scores.
