Antebellum (2020)

Pleasantly surprised

Antebellum is not what I thought it was going to be. In my opinion it is no horror since I wasn't scared once. However it was a great and smart thriller that plays with chronology to establish the story and there giving it a big twist that makes the movie a hundred times better than the trailer shows.

Some parts weren't as believable as others but the cinematography was outstanding and the acting was A+!

Disclaimer: there's a lot of abuse in this movie which was really tough to watch, but I'm glad I did, cause it made me think, which I hope you will too after seeing this great movie that is nothing like its predecessors 'Get Out' and 'Us'.

The Politician (2019–2020)

Season 2 is good, but not great

Very enjoyable, but it's a lot of the same the second season around. The supporting characters fall flat and the storyline is a lot of the same trick being played over and over again. The cast is still amazing and the visuals are perfect but it's not enough to save this second season. The good thing is I'm curious to see what a season three will hold for us, because it's still good tv.

Hollywood (2020)

Great, even amazing, but not phenomenal

I have watched the whole series in one day and overall it is highly enjoyable. Cause of that being the acting and cinematography. The show is truly beautiful to look at, the story is engaging and the cast is A+.

Having said that, I must say the show is too ambitious for itself. It tries to include everything like race and sexuality. Therefore sometimes scenes feel disjointed.

You should still watch this, because the show has so much heart and great, deep and layered characters.

Conclusion, it is great and will not bore you at all. But it is too ambitious and therefore the show loses its believability.

Birds of Prey (2020)

Nothing we haven't seen before, but entertaining AF

First I would like to point out that I dislike people who call this a feminist film, cause only reasoning would be that the leads are mostly female.

Secondly, Birds of Prey tells the story of HQ who just broke up with the Joker. It's funny, well acted and the cinematography is beautiful. Action scenes are above standard but the story is not. Nothing we haven't seen before.

This movie will entertain you and is in my opinion one of the better DC movies. Have fun in theaters!

Gretel & Hansel (2020)

Not worth your time

Having seen this movie was definitely not a necessity in my life. The movie was slowpaced and not engaging at all. The acting was good besides 'Hansel'. In conclusion, don't waste your time on this horror movie, cause it's nothing new and not well directed.

Truth Be Told (2019–2023)

Interesting and well executed

This is the third AppleTV+ show I'm watching (have seen 'The Morning Show' and 'See') and i'm not mad at it at all. I liked this even more than SEE but the Morning Show is my favourite by far.

The the story itself is quite interesting because it's about crime, guilt and power. It looks like almost everyone has something to hide and stakes get higher when we get nearer to the TRUTH.

Even if you don't like crime shows; this might be the show for you because Octavia Spencer makes everything amazing. Her acting is phenomenal and her character is layered in so many ways which she portrays beautifully.

In conclusion: it's an interesting story that is well filmed, with a great script and great characters (especially Octavia's Poppy).

The Politician (2019–2020)

Amazing and grippingly wonderful!

I have just seen the first episode and this show is so fresh with never a dull moment.

First of all, the acting in this series is phenomenal and the cast is amazing. Ben Platt's character Payton is truly layered as are most of the characters.

Secondly, the visuals of most scenery is beautiful and makes The Politician an even bigger delight to watch.

At last I want to say that Ryan Murphy and his team did it again and better than ever. I'm trying to think of something negative but I truly cannot find it at this moment.

I hope you all enjoy The Politician as much as I am doing.

Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Speechless

This movie was soo epic. You're not ready for this movie and therefore the epic conclusion of more than 10 years. Tears will be shed, laughing will happen because this movie has everything. That's why it's a 10/10! See for yourself!

Truth or Dare (I) (2018)

In it's genre, it's actually great!

So, this movie is actually not bad at all. First of all the cast is quite good, the story is fine and the special effects are great.

I don't know why people give this movie bad reviews as this is a great horror movie. I enjoy watching movies with when a group of friends go somewhere and they die. And if we look at slasher movies in general this one (Truth or Dare) was really great! It had everything.

Go see it for yourself in theaters! It's worth it!

And you might never look the same to the game Truth or Dare...
