What utter tripe
12 August 2011
Caught about 10 minutes of this on the Independent Film Channel, boy have they gone down hill showing such garbage.

These girls almost look like teens.....LOL.

This should have been done as a porn film...would have made more money, and been more believable.

Do your self a favor, if you want to watch this, turn down the volume.

I find it hard to believe that it even made $60,000 dollars on the opening weekend.

I wihs IMDb would give us the otions of a -1 to -10 fro rating. Sure could have used it for this School Girl / Lolita wannabee film.

A Class Apart (2007 TV Movie)
9/10
Surprised me how good this was.
2 April 2007
I normally don't like the "soppy" "feel-good" shows, but this was very well done. Jessie Wallace (of EastEnders fame)who plays Candy Jerome, was exceptional. I did realize she could act somewhat, but not on this level...she was wonderful, and very convincing in her role.

Jessie's co-star, Nathaniel Parker who plays Headmaster Anthony Troth is also brilliant in this show, but it took me awhile to get his most famous role, Inspector Lynley out of my head. He plays the POSH head, so he has all the airs and graces of Lynley, but his association with, Candy Jerome is quite out of character.

Very touching show that displays the faults of the British school system, along with it's good points too. A Class Apart also demonstrates that while the "English Class" system is "officialy" dead, in everyday society, it is alive and kicking.

If you are a Jessie Wallace aka "Kat Slater" fan, this is well worth a watch. The Kat is back in all her EastEnders glory in this show!

Basically a remake of "The More The Merrier"
4 June 2005
Different time, different place, but almost the same gags. See below for the plot summary for The More The Merrier. Both are enjoyable!

Plot Summary for The More the Merrier (1943) It's World War II and there is a severe housing shortage everywhere - especially in Washington, D.C. where Connie Milligan rents an apartment. Believing it to be her patriotic duty, Connie offers to sublet half of her apartment, fully expecting a suitable female tenant. What she gets instead is mischievous, middle-aged Benjamin Dingle. Dingle talks her into subletting to him and then promptly sublets half of his half to young, irreverent Joe Carter - creating a situation tailor-made for comedy and romance.

A Fantastic Movie For The Whole Family!
4 July 2003
While not historically accurate, Cagney's performance more than makes up for this fault. Too bad that most people today are too stupid to enjoy a movie of this caliber...I suppose they will watch legally moron movie 2. Oh well, thank God for TCM!
