Ted Lasso (2020–2023)

Great first half.

In the first 4/5 episodes I laughed out loudly and thought it was sharp and well written. Then the treacle team took over and it became a cringe fest toward the end of Season 1. Season 2 was full Golden Syrup. Some of the scenes were toe curdling However acting was excellent and Ted and Rebecca are superb. Why is the writing so sharp at the start and then descends into pure syrup. I can understand the unrealistic player manager scenes but spare me the moral code every episode

As a Spurs fan realism was good when Richmond knocked them out of the FA Cup. Such a disappointment after an excellent start.

Very disappointing

Warning: Spoilers
A sad story of a young visitor to LA who is found dead in a water tank on the roof of the Hotel Cecil. 4 hours of web sleuths ,conspiracy theories etc for what is a sad story and demise of a bipolar girl. Can't believe Ron Howard was involved in this documentary and it is a waste of 4 hours. Lockdown shows you watch some crap also that would never normally interest you.

Brilliant wit

As an overseas visitor to NY for over 40 years I have loved the humour that you hear there when visiting. Fran Lebowitz has a brilliant way of describing NY and all it's travails Without doubt one the funniest clever and laconic delivery of lines by an individual. I loved Jackie Mason and his jewish influences in humour and Fran matches it all the way. Loads of laugh out loud moments and Martin Scorsese laughing with her is wonderful also. A joy and a must see!

Sarah is incredibly funny when she does the Trump material. The rest of it was contrived and not very funny. Cringing at times I was so disappointed as I love her social media material.

Horrendous

The paddy whackery depiction of the Irish is one thing that some US productions use and this is no exception. The plot is absurd and acting is at best average. Awful awful script.

A GEM
4 June 2019
A wonderful movie with two amazing performances from Steve Coogan and John Reilly. I was unaware that the famous Stan and Ollie travelled to Britain and Ireland as part of a comeback. Beautifully shot and scripted the chemistry between the two characters is remarkable One if the best in 2019

Awful awful

The most contrived rubbish you could ever watch. Good actors delivering dreadful lines and a writer who thinks ridiculous scenarios are humorous. Dreadful but hypnotically awful that you are drawn to watch and say "how bad can it go". It gets worse. A must see

It is nearly like a movie except it's real life. Filmed an unbelievable story with great pace and style. Hugely entertaining and even thought, there maybe some poetic license from some of the interviewees it is great 90minutes of watching fast talkingcromjnals tell an unbelievable story.

Just Not funny
3 September 2018
The script was so poor that the actors tried hard to make some sense of it. The characters are not credible and one of them would have been decked in the first ten minutes had he behaved with any group of people I know. I didn't find any scene even mildly amusing. It's well produced and directed but the script is so awful it's a cringe fest. They laugh at things that at best are mildly amusing. Contrived and embarrassing

AWFUL

Netflix have been putting on some excellent movies. However this is simply awful with some of the worst acting I've ever seen The dialogue is beyond bad and you are hypnotized by how unbelievably cringing this film is. Having just seen 3 Billboards and watched brilliant actors it's hard to believe these actors are in the same profession
