It's a fairly good thriller that suffers a bit from some cheesy elements.
It starts with the title sequence that was made in a mediocre cgi animation, where the camera travels through 9 gates. Almost every person that dies does it with a ridiculous face expression and the blood looks awfully fake. Not sure why Polanski went for that.
Otherwise the movie has a really good pace and keeps the suspense almost until the end.
The final scene / revelation feels a bit like they ran out of money and ideas to bring some closure to it.
I found the movie relatively similar to The Davinci Code which doesn't suffer from this flaws.
Yet it's a nice 90s throwback that keeps you entertained.
