Where are the main characters from book

Where are the main characters from the book? Like Sandy Stern and the detective...not sure how to write his name. This adaptation could have been great! But FOLLOW the book! What is it with all the characters that were not in the book? I love the movie with Harison Ford it followed the book closer than this piece of crap. I wish companies making films would follow the source materials. It would make for a better movie or tv show. Love Jake G. The main actor he does do a good job, but, for the rest of the actors......they do pretty good. I wish film makers will make a movie based on a book PERFETCLY and follow the book!

I find it hard to believe that I am the first to write a review since Margaret has a HUGE following. But, then again a lot of people don't come to imdb.com. I love this site and I have the hugest respect for Margaret. Also, I have to admit I came on to see/find information on John Roberts. WOW, very handsome and talented. Love his talent, and he is only 15 days older than I am. But, back to the show, they are both so very talented. Someday I hope to meet them both. Next time she comes to Grand Rapids, MI (or within an hour of GR) I will drive to see her (my truck is a gas guzzler) and it would be great to see John Roberts as well!!!!!

Mundane and boring

Maybe it was because I was angry they refused to bring back Julia Swahala and Mel Gibson (they have their bad reasons). It just felt horrible. Was happy they brought back many other voices from the original, but I really felt like the movie was missing the two main characters REAL voices. Through the whole movie I could not get that out of my head ... this is NOT Ginger or Rocky! So, I can only give the movie one star. To the director/producer your using peoples VOICES! Julia sounds the same today as she did 30 years ago...you're a discriminating against her based-on age. How come the other actresses who were/are older than she still able to be in the film using their voice? Shame on you!

Girlfriend from Hell (1989)

It REALLY is a funny film

I love this movie. I remember when it came out on VHS back in the late 80s. It has actors that I have followed over the year. Leslie Deane was in "Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare" And Dana Ashbrook from my favorite TV show "Twin Peaks." This move is not meant to be taken seriously; it is so funny. The lead actress is the best part of the film. The supporting characters are also great! Just give the movie a chance and watch it with an open mind. Hell, watch while you're drinking you will love it! I found it on DVD and I watch a couple times a week because it make sme and my friends laugh! JUST watch it!

Had some great parts, but dragged on

This was a great story, great cinematography, the acting was good, but it falls apart with redundant scenes of too much talking. The whole bar scene between the two main characters could have been left out or shortened. The next scene again could have been shortened. Also, the two main characters go back and forth about who to talk too, ALOT! I like all the characters, but they are both writers who clearly could have followed up on the leads when they got the fax, for instance contact the person who did the autopsies. There is SO MANY plot holes. Also, the monster/animal/Cryptid and the holes they made. How did such a large animal get in and out of those holes? The ending was nothing but a sequel bait. It could have been so much better.

I hate leaving a bad review....but this one deserves it

The movie actually starts off strong! An accident that leads you to believe they killed a child Sasquatch. (at least that I was led to believe by the film). Then it jumps to two people trying to find a friend who disappeared in the area of the car accident. Again, at this point I am still intrigued, even though the whole 'Sasquatch wife, kid, or relative killed' revenge movie has been done. I still was curious. And then the missing girls in that area intrigued me because...look Sasquatch is not going to be looking for a human girl mate, so, why the missing girls? This movie had an opportunity to be GREAT! But the minute the lead actress gets on the road with the other girl is when the movie goes downhill and boring. STOP PLEASE all you want-to-be-directors...showing us naked women only bores us like your killing time. This was advertised as a BIGFOOT movie! Show more of Bigfoot! I hope you get a chance to make another film. Think of pacing like you did at the beginning of this film. You HAD A GREAT beginning, a terrible middle, and a (good that could have been greater) rushed end. I really see talent in the writer, and even the director. Some of the shots are VERY well done. But I found myself wanting to fast forward. I am so tired of having to watch sex scenes because it DOES NOT move the story forward. It is like the writer wants us to know she/he is gay. I am gay and I do not want to see it unless it moves the story forward. I know by showing both women are lesbian DOES impact this story. Much of their dialogue in/out of the car shows that. Leave the sex out next time.

Deep Fear (2023)

Love shark movies. Was excited to watch this on Netflix, but it sucked! The sharks look great! Storyline great! But I am tired of seeing main characters that look like Barbie dolls that CANNOT act! REALLY? Her lips and body are awful! Like other people on here have said ...you had a great script FIND a REAL actress not some chick you think will turn on guys! You had a chance to make a great film and you messed it up with an actress who just wanted to look good on film....and she failed and ruined your movie! Your film sucks...sorry. All you had to do was get actors that fit the parts. Stop hiring people that look like models. Hire people that look like the part!

Saw X (2023)

I side of John you knew but never 'saw'

As many other reviews on here have stated you see a side of John Kramer that you 'possibly' knew. Watching this movie over and over again...I find myself not feeling sorry for the victims. Now saying that, I do feel some sympathy for Gabriella, much like Amanda does. I also feel the writers and director felt the same in how she does in her game. I was also happy to see how Amanda and John looked being this takes place 20 years ago. Shawnee Smith is a couple years older than me and they did a great job of making her look like her late 20's/early 30's. This was a GREAT installment in the series. Much better than the last 3. I am curious how Dr Cecilia is going to meet her end in Saw 11 since she lived at the end of this, and she should of been the first to die.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023)

I loved it

I used to write movie reviews for years but have retired. I see so many negative reviews, many poorly written, about "Aquaman 2". The movie is wonderful. It amazes me the amount of anger people put into their writing of a review of a film so many worked so hard on. It tells a story of family and love. Also, a story of redemption, and most of all forgiveness. Many of the negative comments are the 'bad 3-D' experience. Why will people just watch a regular 2D movie for what it is. We always want larger, louder, more effects, when what we really want is just a magical movie event. Something that touches our hearts. I will let you watch it and enjoy.

Just read other comments. They set-up story lines that never resolved. Like the guy who disappears into the red light. The final 4 make it to a road. A road to where? If at the end of the film it said, "to be continued" I think I would of gave it a better score. Acting was horrible. The CGI was better than most low budget films. Also, you see a spaceship, and then you never find out what the purpose of it is. Who built the cabin in the woods? And, it says, based on a true phenomenon, ....what true phenomena? They needed to pull together ALL the story lines and give us a conclusion...instead of them finding a road...but a road to where?

Traci Lords: Last Drag (2011 Music Video)

I found it refreshing

I disagree with the other viewer. I really enjoyed the video, but the music more. I remember her 'Control' song from the early 90's which I did like more than this one. The video is amazing, and it is done by Zalman King who directed "Wild Orchid 1 & 2", "Two Moon Junction 1 & 2", and also "9 1/2 Weeks". And who cares if the video shows two women together like the other review says.

It is a video that is telling a story. It is a STORY, and the song is trying to explain that story. I really like Traci Lords; I do not care about her past film history. I see a woman who took control of her life and has made music and film history on HER terms. Yes, I find that she is still finding her voice and music style. Which; many singers are also doing.

I really enjoyed this episode the most out of all of season #5. It is funny, and to see Saffy's dramatic play take a turn into comedy was hilarious. I love how going into this episode I thought it would be dull and of course it turned out to be the best of the best!

I love this and the sequel. Yes, it is not real, and that is why I took a point away because Animal Planet should have said this is a made up (mockumentary) before it starts, but then people would not watch. I LOVED IT! Keep making them!

The Nanny (IV) (2018)

Good but felt like a re-make of 'The Guardian' (1990)

This was a good movie, some of the acting was not that great, but the main characters pulled it off. Great cinematography. The only flaw is that it felt like a newer version or remake of "The Guardian" (1990) with Jenny Seagrove. Begins with a family that loses a child to druid-esque monsters in the woods. Then move to a family who needs a Nanny that just shows up (not on the list). She is connected to the woods (again like The Guardian), and not nice. It is a good film. I enjoyed it. The woman who plays the Nanny does a GREAT job!

A Madea Christmas (2011 Video)

Great MADEA Christmas

I am surprised I am the first to write a review. I will keep this simple. A Madea Christmas Play is fantastic. The story, characters, music and mostly Madea will have you laughing out loud. Please enjoy this wonderful play during this holiday season. Mr. Tyler Perry is an amazing actor, writer, and director. I look forward to them making a movie out of this wonderful piece of art. The performers in this play really hit their characters portrayal like a hammer to a nail. Especially the woman who plays Hattie May. The musical numbers are eloquent, I just wish they had more Christmas songs then what they did. Mr. Perry's original music is wonderful, but I just would of liked to hear many more Christmas songs. I hope everyone is able to enjoy this film as much as I did! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
