Milking the Tree
21 March 2022
I vaguely remember seeing this was in production a while ago and just watched the first episode. They did a decent job of replacing the voice actors.

The big thing about the Croods is the gorgeous, imaginative animation and design.

Those are gone. They dialed back the animation to a bare bones degree. Trollhunters set a high bar for what they can do and even the much earlier Dragonriders Race for the Edge was better animated. The characters are stiff and the backgrounds nowhere near as lush. Yes, this is 'tv' quality, but it seems on the cheap end. There are better shows with higher quality in writing and animation. I guess Hulu doesn't pay as well as Netflix.

So Bad, Must Review
9 July 2021
So, first of it, it's dull and nothing new here. It's like the only reason you would watch it is for a 'horror' set during the pandemic. It's uninteresting, and oh wow... is the ending just awful. If you have nothing better to do, sure, it fills time, but it's just... dumb.

Typical CW Garbage - Which I had Higher Hopes For
30 January 2019
I was looking forward to this as a fan of the original, however, ten minutes in and I absolutely HATED Liz and ended up turning it off at the 28 minute mark. It's just not good and pointless. It would have been a better idea to have taken most of the original cast, had them return to New Mexico after finding some way to mindwipe some important people AND LIZ, then have Liz returning home for some reason and then stuff happens from there. :D That is the return to Roswell I wanted. I was keeping an open mind to try it out, but there is nothing about this that makes me want to watch it even to just pass the time. The acting is so-so, but the characters are all pale imitations of the originals. Max's actor is ok though. I kind of liked him, but that's it. Teenage idiocy in adults just doesn't make sense, Michael. I'd rather go back and re-watch the original series which was entertaining over preachy as well. This is just a huge failure and disappointment. I wish I could give this 0 stars.

So. Sloooooow. Too. Much. Politics.
5 November 2018
It's rare for me to begin a series and not watch at least two or three episodes. With this one, I did not like most of the characters and their banter was just annoying to listen to, like relatives arguing about politics constantly instead of enjoying what they have... and these people are wallowing in luxury. There's no connection and it was just dull. I didn't even make it through the first episode and was greatly disappointed.

The hook is missing or it's using the wrong bait.
