Jian yu (2010)
she never fades.. she's still the same.. YEOH RULES!!!!
set in China.. the story about a skilled assassin drizzle and the monk's remains who holds a certain power, this what confused me a bit, at the beginning it mentioned that whoever holds the two parts of the monk's remains can control the martial arts world, then later part it seems that all the "bad guys" lead by the wheel king wanted it to heal them or something.. anyways, after killing the man she loves, drizzle wanted a new life,, she changed her identity.. her face (talking about plastic surgery lol) to live a normal life.. away from killing.. away from dark stone.. so, drizzle and the monk's corpse is missing.. the dark stone far from being happy with this.
goodbye drizzle.. hello zeng jing.. zeng jing rented a house in the capital and got clothing for business.. here she met ah sheng.. after a rather cute romance.. it will totally make you forget about the dark stone thing and enjoying the romance between the two.. so everything was sweet and perfect until the bank robbery. one hell of a fight scene.. michelle yeoh looks so cool and just amazing.. her peaceful life blown up and the dark stone knows her whereabout.. for the rest.. watch this movie to find out..
what you must watch out:
1. michelle yeoh as zeng jing in the bank robbery scene. that was cool. even the way she throw that kitchen knife something to kill a fly.. just "WOW!" michelle yeoh is still michelle yeoh.
2. fight scenes.. if you love kung fu don't miss this one.. you'll get what you wish for with wirings..
i like this more than crouching tiger maybe because it has more michelle yeoh..
my no. 1 fave martial arts movie reign of assassins 2. crouching tiger hidden dragon 3. wingchun..
i give this 10/10
7 jin gong (1994)
michelle yeoh + bike that should be enough!
okay.. for me without michelle's beauty this film would be wasted.. forget the plot.. forget the annoying lead star who keeps smiling.. really would rather see him fighting.. i wish he would stop smiling like a fool and leave the smiling business with michelle. i love every time they're on bike.. i love the friendship between them and cried when superman dies.. michelle on bike that should be enough. though a little bit disappointed.. not enough action for michelle..
7 orphans trained to become secret agents.. okay i don't really like the guy to be paired with michelle yeoh. it doesn't work man.. she's way.. way too beautiful for him.. michelle play as the villain at first whose partner inlove with her eerrr worst looking than the lead star.. what a surprised it is to Li ning's character to find out that the woman who stole his heart on that bridge one night was the same woman he must capture.. well.. luckily, michelle team up with them in the end.. i forgot to mention they were actually fighting for some micro chip..
bad guys have hearts too..
michelle looks gorgeous riding a bike man.. she has this thing with bikes..
8/10
all in all.. i like this movie
8/10
Wing Chun (1994)
one of my all time fave movie
wing chun a story about a beautiful woman.. to avoid herself being married against her will.. she seek help from a kung-fu master.. she learned kung fu and and become famous for it. befriend with charmy together with her aunt. donnie yen as wing chun's lover.. who mistook charmy as wing chun.. and so on..
for those who loves michelle like myself.. if you haven't watch this movie yet.. Oh God what a fan you are.. one of michelle's best work.. those who loves HK movies.. this wont disappoint you..
i really love this movie.. the tofu scene, the fortress scene, flying chimpanzee scene,, even michelle and donnie yen had some fight scenes together,,
also this movie mirrored the Chinese tradition of marriage.. and woman's issue for age,,
10/10
Tai gik Cheung Sam Fung (1993)
my review
first thing's first.. tai chi master i can accept that as it's title.. but twin warriors?? help me with this.. whose jet's twin warrior? is it his childhood friend or the ever beautiful miss yeoh? when you look at the poster's you'll assume that it's michelle.. which i don't really think so.. though her fight scenes were one of the must see in the movie (check her in that restaurant scene,, *sigh* beautiful indeed and the later part she;s just amazing..) for me they should have stick to the Chinese title. anyways,, one of my fave..
i was hoping though a somewhat romantic involvement between michelle and jet.. ughh it never came.. still A MUST SEE MOVIE..
