Could be better, but interesting story..
6 November 2018
There is not much I can say about this movie, except that it felt more like the fist part of a book than a movie and I was looking for part 2 even before the credits were done. Not because the film was good or great, nor because the acting because it could have been better, the stenography was in part both understandable, working and dull at the same time. And it felt short, like a part was missing.

The core of the story on the other hand was interesting and it has been a long time since a movie story has had a core story that was interesting to me. Don't take me wrong the story could have been better and it felt unfinished in an unsatisfying way.

I'm an avid movie buff and have loved movies for over 30 years, I love fantasy, science fiction, books and above all I love stories that has not been TOLD before like most movies that comes out. This story felt untapped, like there were more to tell and I hadn't heard something quite like it in a looong time and they should have lots nice words for just that

The story didn't feel derivative like most movies and tv-shows these days and it has gotten noticeably worse the last decade or so, so this was a nice way for me at least to spend 70 minutes or so, but maybe just maybe not everyone will see it the same way I do and at least some, if I go by the comments online, didn't get a major part of the story at all..

Still I want the rest of the story told, read or seen..

Liked the movie, I Love the book
30 March 2018
The movie was fun, fast and action driven, it told at its core more or less the same story but nearly everything was changed to a more action driven movie format. It was fun to watch and money well spent.

But the book is so very much more and so far beyond the movie that it isn't even funny and many of the subtle references are lost in the movie.

To judge this movie on its own I must say it is a good fun movie, but if you judge it in relation the book, the movie falls far short and comes not even close to half as fantastic as the book is.

Is it worth to watch, YES sure, but you should also really read the book or listen to the audiobook. Because if the film is watchable, then the book is fantastic. must read.

And I did enjoy the movie if you are wondering, I'm just a little disappointed over some of the changes in the story and how the key are found. It could have been done better, but then the movie might not have been as mind blowing fun to watch.

I will miss Terra Nova
14 March 2017
I loved Terra Nova, and I miss it as it had so many interesting story threads interwoven, very very few shows have that. And as of today I have nearly stopped watching TV, I read instead for nearly everything else lack that bright spark of imagination, most of the stuff running now is just rehash of older stuff we all have seen once or twice before.

I really liked this movie , but one thing really bothers me...
25 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I liked the setting, I loved the visuals, the story, even the movie in it self. I really like this movie... I'm not bothered by sci-fy stuff like fusion reactor (most likely possible) or human hibernation, or shield tech.

But there's one thing I hate (and have posted in regards to other films and books), if something is really smartly done, either by a person due to that person being smart, the tech involved being clever even far into sci-fy or any other thing involving smarts..

Smarts do only one mistake of each kind maybe twice, then they learn and do better.

So if you build a hyper automated spaceship and there are support systems for nearly everything, then the same people would have added a auto defrost and the ability to re-hibernate tech troubleshooters to be awakened if any error occurs, even if the system can auto fix systems, there are always possible that something else goes wrong or a sensor goes bad. So an added closed shielded system auto defrost a tech to check it out, when the tech has checked everything and verified it (by checking everything), they go back to sleep.

Doing anything else is idiotic to the nth degree and simple wouldn't be done.

I absolutely hate such "plot holes" (I know that most like I am the only one), but still I like the film..
