Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021)
I loved it!
Spoiler Alert! The animation was awesome. I don't think Sarah Michelle Geller was right for Teela. That being said, I did enjoy the storyline because it allowed for some depth for most of the characters. I felt like this was just an intro to the series that is being continued. There are suppose to be 10 more episodes. I was not disappointed that Adam/Heman was only in 2 episodes, we got time for that next season. Adam was always portrayed as a weakling but he was never hurt on the show until now and I loved that. Such drama! It was totally a different take on the show.
Bob Hearts Abishola (2019)
Love this show
I really enjoy this show! It's fun, cute, and romantic at times.
Manôushe (1993)
Had So Much Potential
Manoushe was painful to watch. I found myself saying if they did it this way or tried it that way it would be so much better. When I found this movie, it was described as being a foreign version of Legend. It is nothing like Legend. SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The general story is excellent. The story starts out with this Gypsy funeral. There is dancing that takes place and the dancing is beautiful but I found the scene was too long and had me fast forwarding. Just when I think the whole movie is going to be a mute dance-a-thon, this old woman begins to have flash backs and we see her young again. It becomes this love story that takes place in a town of freaks and grotesque people. Animal sound effects are used with certain characters. There is this one obese man who he snores in church, pig squeals were dubbed in for his snores. I don't want to give away the whole movie. I just really thought this had potential to be something great. It turned out more disturbing then artsy to me. Still I would say you would have to see it for your self and form your own opinion.
The Plague Dogs (1982)
Traumatized Me!!!
**May contain spoilers**
I rented and watched this movie when I was about 9 years old. This is not a movie for children!! I sat down to watch this with my brother and we cried from beginning to the end. The only reason we didn't stop the tape was because we had hope that the dogs would be saved at the end.
I truly believe in animal rights and not testing on animals but this movie scares it into you.
I know there are going to be people out there that will think I didn't get the message or completely understand the movie but I am writing this from my point of view as a child who watched this. Every person I have met who has watched this movie as a child has also been traumatized by it. I remember the fox in the movie tried to help the dogs and was also killed. One of the dogs had a buzzing sound in his head that was hurting him through the whole movie. Then when the dogs started swimming I completely lost it because they drowned. I was hoping that someone caring found them and took them to a vet to heal them.
I just would not recommend this movie to children!!
Kill by Inches (1999)
Interesting
May contain spoiler! Kill by Inches is a very interesting film. It's very quiet and chilling. I felt sorry for Thomas and I found myself loathing his father and his sister Vera who seemed to push Thomas into insanity. When they were children, Vera gets Thomas to cut up their father's tape measure. Thomas gets in trouble with his father and is made to eat every inch. SPOILER!!!!!I really wish Vera's death was more gruesome. She was literally killed by inches with a tape measure contraption Thomas created.
A good movie!
