The Legend of Maula Jatt (2022)
Navva ayaa ae'n SOHNEYAA!!!
The Legend of Maula Jutt executed astonishingly and single handedly dominated the aspects of direction, acting, dialogue, story and above all action. The film showed domains of Love, Dispair, Fear, Hope, Vengence and again above all War.
The Maula Jutt rings the bell even to the population who havent seen the actual 1979 cult classis but every breathing Pakistani is aware of "nava ayaa en sohnya", "main tere ennay totay karanga....." and "maulay ne maula na maray te maula nahin marda"
Bilal Lashari outdone himself. He remade this cult classic in way it was deserved to be made. Broke his own record of making the critically and commercially the most successful film of Pakistan.
The locations and sets, the costumes and the weaponery, he literally renewed the Gandassa culture.
According to me the showstealer was Hamza Ali Abbasi, he brilliantly portrayed the character of Noori Nutt. His expressions, dialogie delivery and appearence all alligned brilliantly with the character.
Fawad khan performed well, his chocolate boy visuals didnt effected role and his long hair beard look made him like alpha male of our industry. His machoism or Maula is one of a kind.
I guess no one could have done the roles better then these two actually.
I never liked Gohar before, after LNJ his character formate changed my reviews for him, but jow after TLMJ i can say he is a fascinating actor who can i dulge in role, perform accents and indeed the madness of makha suited him well.
Rest of the cast including Humaima, Ali azmat, Shafqat Cheema and remainings, they all did well.
The only character which was out of order to its peak was Mahira Khan. She didnt suit the role, her accent was bad as hell and there are 100s of actresses who could have performed her role far far better. One can say her performance was more like "elaichi in biryani".
The sets and screenplay made the normal common story more then whatit actually was. Camera work for Gandasa closeups and the village scenes was awesome.
No song policy had me. It was a good decision for not adding songs to this masterpiece.
Overall the movie is brilliant just like Waar but more reformed and polished direction i say.
It is definitly a worthy watchn.
Watch TLMJ and support our industry.
London Nahi Jaunga (2022)
Here comes the Chaudry Saab!!!
London nahi jaunga is an average comedy with some moments when you literally laugh out loud and in the remaining you keep questioning yourself how this cringe the jokes and story can be. The angle of our question and differences of our society in love affairs when a girl is involved or when the boy is invovled was well established and they actually meant something.
The movie is about a a true chuadry of a village in Bahawalpur with a strong family who is on the verge of getting engaged to a women he dont love. His life turns upside down by entry of the women of her dreams who is basically from abroad. The whole story revolves around him convincing his love intrest to love him back. The journey comprises of him acting against his whole family and village people, travelling to London and then winning over the her heart.
I must say the only actor who actually left everyone behind in the film was only amd only Sohail Ahmed. Indeed is the most established actor in the whole crew, his whole career of doing theater literally paid off and that theater is i guess the sole reason why he is so applauded in foriegn soil. His portrayel of a Chaudry with some comedy punches and at moments the intensity in his expression is of the limits.
Hamayun Saeed maintainen the essence of his character from Punjab nahi jaungi. Performed well and actially suited.
Mehwish Hayat character had many loopholes starting from ambushing someones family gathering without exposing her identity to making a sudden comeback in London and to end, changing her mind on a few dailogues to a person she really cant stand.
Wasay chaudry is the most unsuitable man for the role of Harry. He dont even give a glimpse of Harry.
One actor who rose in my view is Gohar Rasheed. Never liked him as an actor but his character of Bhatti was really funny at time.
Kubra khans few dialogues were really touchy and literally meant something for people who have been there. Indeed she was the most gorgeous women in the film.
Saba Hameed, Raza mir and Taau ji, they all performed well.
According to me PNJ was scripted and maintained a proper pace as compared to LNJ.
Well its a funny one time watch film which you can actually watch with your family.
As our industry is rising from the ashes, give this movie a chance.
Verna (2017)
Somethings are worth fighting for.
Verna is an intense verdict of the Gods on earth and power hungry society, it truely depict the old proverb " jiski laathi uski bhains".
This movie scars your soul from the bitter truth around you. It defines the VIP culture and if one takes a stand how the feudal lords and earthly gods can assassinate your soul and self respect and in matter need also your life.
Praises to Shoaib Mansoor as he always picks up reality based topics to potray our culture and its associated issues. Indeed the topic of rape in our eastern society is very sensitive and post event circulstances are unexplainably hurtful for the victim and family.
But the truch is that we have adopted such a narrow mind set basically from the hindus which is indoctrinated in our soul like many other elements from birth to death i.e our wedding events, our births and deaths and image of widows and rape victims. The way Shoaib directed the movie is fabulous.
I believe no one could have done the leading lady role better then Mahira khan in our industry. She acted very well and deserves applause.
Same goes for Haroon shahid, even though it was the firat time i saw him, but indeed he did good. He could have shown alittle more insecure and angry at certain stages in movie but overall, he was good
Role of Zarrar, he defined the what a the liniages of our so called rulers and the way they consider a common man more of a scum then human was astonishing, i liked his acting alot.
Music could have been alot better keeping in mind the brillian music of Khuda ke liye and soulfull main theme of bol.
Keeping in mind our industry, such films when complete there twnure in cinemas, should be shown on TV and should be available on stream medias; as it is impossible to search them and watch them.
I must say its a definite watch for any person of our middle class society to express them that at times in life, one must take a stand because somethings are worth fighting for.
Heer Maan Ja (2019)
Azfar needs to work on script more.
Well, i was really excited about the movie from its very first teaser, but it was just an average movie with a below average plot and storytelling.
Heer maan Ja revolve around Heer's attempts to escape a forcefull wedding, a quest which leads to her reencounter with Kabir, her former love interest, diagnosed with a disease in a pathetuc manner and his near dying wish to help her in her escape.
The film lacks storytelling to such an extent that one can never know what is the exact intention of the lead cast. Plot has plenty of holes, blunders in the script and all of above unbelievabley stupid turns the movie takes with unneccessary comedy.
Azfar Jafri is a good director but he should worked alot more on the script then the wardrobe of Hareem Farooq.
On the other hand; th good factors were Ali Rehman's acting and alittle chemistry between him and Hareem. I like the way he portrayed a hard working engineer with his passion for buildings.
Songs were average as were the remaining cast.
In the end its a one time watch with a heavy heart.
Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor (2018)
Our Legend of the Wild.
Allahyar and the legend of Markhor fulfills many scenarios including being cordial and sympathetic to all other creatures, loving your enviroment and surroundings, creating relationships with wildlife and be loyal to it.
I guess this is the first time ever we made something that has a cultural and social amplification regarding wildlife and nature in 3D manner to reach and teach the new generation; the importance of hidden gems, our nature.
The movie is about a kid Allahyar, who is mischievous but a kind kid, with stories of being a protector of the nature in mind, embarks on a journey of life, friendship and destiny.
The vocal artist have done a marvellous job; Anum zaidi, Natasha, Abdul Nabi; they all have outdone there roll by performing astonishingly. The comedy punches by Azfar Jafri as Hero, were the best thing i must say.
The movie shows combine efforts of Zaheer khan and the studio artists and graphis designers, who have made a mark in pakistani animation genre.
The beauty that they showen of our northern side, was literally mesmerizing, the views, the landscapes and greenary in terrain was breathtaking, simply loved it.
Several aspects of the movie are well established and tuned while others required more work. I believe they should have used reality synthesizer tech in order make the animated human characters more real and lifelike. The characters needed more refining and development.
But in the end its worth a shot movie for you and your kids.
The movie depicts our cultural and social values in a 3D manner, kindly watch it and show it to your kids.
Previously 3 Bahadur and now this, i must say our industry is rising from the ashes, please watch and support.
Dukhtar (2014)
Some WOUNDS can leave a SCAR!!!
Curtains opens with a shot of an endless lake and a woman in white, floats in a red boat across the water like an angle.
One wont understand this until the end, when see it again.
Set in the rural mountains of northern Pakistan where tribal rules govern everything and practice of child brides is still in effect.
This movie captures several aspects of person esp girls life; her dreams, while living in a tribal area with limited exposure to surroundings, friends that can be cpunted of fingertips and then mother, who is the primary love and companion of a daughter and can live upto any extent in order to save her child from any upcoming.
Two totally different kind of Males,
First one; traditionally who are the ruler of the family and deals with the issues according to their own mind, can give verdict of a womens life without consent and treat them as a property.
Second one, who himself have been through alot in his life, gaveup war because of love and ready to sacrifice his own life and freedom in order to help someone in need of the hour.
Samiya Mumtaz as Allah Rakhi has accepted her existence as a wife in a traditional world where she has no rights. Then her innocent daughter Zainab who is just a 10 year old child and is in 5th grade, plays happily in home and dreams of marrying a prince; is promised in marriage to the head of a rival tribe as a peace offering. She takes her daughter and runs.
Mohib Mirza as Sohail who is a truck driver, with limited resources helps them escape and provides them a shelter.
The cast has brilliantly performed there specified characters.
The cinematography, landscapes and mesmerizing views of our Northern Pakistan and there lifestyle and then crowded lively streets of Lahore, every scenes captures an essence which is difficult to explain in words.
The film offers an open ending which might be difficult for many viewer to swallow, the fate of the girl is undescribed, you can imagine what can happen furture according to your own mindset and hope that ALLAH will be his best to ease life for Zainab.
Frankly according to me there is nothing bad in traditional tribal life style, but when it comes to gender divisions; a women must and should have the liberty to choose her dreams, what she wants to do with her life, it includes from her education, intellect, school of thoughts to selection of spouse and life after marriage, keeping in mind certain barriers which are given to us from our religion, and these barriers are for both men and women.
I simply loved this movies and its my humble request to everyone;
as our industry is rising from the ashes, please watch the movie and support.
Cake (2018)
You dont wanna miss this CAKE.
Yes, it doesn't feature any 'masala' or 'dance numbers'....and yet pakistani audience will agree that they haven't seen a film like Cake before.
The most remarkable thing about the movie is the portrayal of the relationships between the three siblings with nothing glamorous or exaggerated about the relationships of the siblings, the film captures them joking around and talking to each other and then on the other hand fighting each other with a wish rip hearts.
Characters aren't defined by their love interests or relationships but their insecurities, grievances and thought patterns are what make them who they are.
if I had to choose I'd say it is Aamina Shiekh who really stands out. She's undoubtedly the cherry on top of Cake. He performance as the leader of the house, both personal and professional makes her standout in allmost every aspect.
Sanam Saeed astonishingly portrayed a modern pakistani girl who is strong from the cover but deep down just a scared girl who will overthink anything that has been indoctrinated to her.
We are all aware of Aamina Sheikh and Sanam Saeed's acting prowess, but Asim Abbasi brings out the very best in them.As the houseboy-turned-medical assistant Romeo is both an insider and an outsider, which means he's perfectly positioned to serve as the film's moral compass.
It was the fist time i saw this guy but i simply loved his character.
Rest of the cast Beo Rana, Muhammad Ahmed and Faris Khalid, they all were pretty good.
As our industry is rising from the ashes,
Please do yourself a favor and go watch the film, and don't forget to take family along; they might end up learning a thing or two.
Ho Mann Jahaan (2015)
You want it, Go get it !!!
I liked Ho Mann Jahaan on average, but indeed it was entertaining. I think theme of the movie is to "you want it, go get it".
It was to pursue your dreams, be tolerant of other's view and don't control your children lives too much. Music is just used as an objective. It might be difficult for some people to digest, MUSIC AS A PROFESSION but i guess it was basically an elite youth oriented movie, where such scenario is a possibility.
I was quite pleasantly surprised by Sheheryaar's acting. Different expressions of Arhaan's personality were played well and his character was quite interesting. I really liked his acting in some of the intense scenes esp climax.
Adeel Hussain was also great as Nadir. Although he was able to show Nadir's emotions effectively. An elite with familial issues and unable to coupe with drastic decisions, Adeel portrayed it perfectly.
Mahira Khan looked stunning. She played the role brilliantly.
Sonya Jahan looked graceful and glamorous. Her acting was great and in the short span that her character was given, she was able to shine in her role.
Music, i must say could have been better, mean if you are taking the cast to Coke Studio, the music atleast touch the levels of Yaar Daadhi, Lamha or Tajdaar e haram.
Direction and cinematography was astonishing. All the shots of Karachi, boats, northern areas, crop fields, and seaside will provide you a glimpse of true pakistan. Each and every frame was exquisite and colorfull.
All the characters were relatable with our surroundings and the way they had their conflicts arise because of the different way of thinking of different people.
I also liked the small comedy punches in the film and the funniest thing is that this is usually what happens in real life.
The other thing that movie made an impact for me ehile entertaining as well.
Story showed that people can have different opinions yet they could live peacefully. We should be tolerant and this is what we lack.
Ho Mann Jahaan is highly recommended.
As our industry rose from the ashes, please watch and support.
Punjab Nahi Jaungi (2017)
70 Murrabbay+1200 bhainsain+Khagga palace=Brilliance
The movie was good, actually way more better then what i expected from the trailer and the reviews. With certain flaws but still the movie keeps you glued to the chairs and entertains you.
Mehwish stole the show i mean she actually seem so real with ups and downs of the story. The stiffness, firmness of her character, how provocative a girl can be and truely a stunning beauty is she, is everything the character asked for.
Hamayun was good but he actually didnt adopted the character of a punjabi feudal, overall he was average.
Remaining whole cast Ahmed Ali butt, Mawra hocane, they all were good but Sohail ahmed was far more better then even the veteran actors like Saba or Waseem.
Movie starts with a good pace from the villages of punjab, continues its journey with a few speed humps of a few disputes but again the stride continues; embedded with emotions, betrayel and certain comedy punches. Unpredictablilty was the core element of the movie i guess, because at certain points the movie was so smooth, it seemed like next thing will be the credits but then again a strike and the movie takes you to another turn.
What i didnt liked about the movie was the lenght of the movie was more then it needed. Culture of Punjab was literally ignored and music could habe been better.
As our industry rose from the ashes, highly eecommended to everyone, please watch and support.
Motorcycle Girl (2018)
Believe me; its the vacation you always wanted.
Well this movie has far more to give then what you expect. Motorcycle Girl is not about a Girl on a bike trip, but a wonderfull piece of entertainment with a bright and shinny message to better yourself, to chase your dreams, to overcome your fears and move towards victory.
Sohai, a common working class girl who lacks the selfconfidence because of nothing on the back, broughtup by a single parent but with sky high dreams. Right from the beginning ,from the very first scene you can actually see the issues and relate them with every struggling youngster.
Her simplicity, nervousness, inferiority complex then the confidence, bravery and all of above courage to strike the world is everything the role asked for.
All the supporting cast including Sameena peerzada, Sarmad, Irfan and Adnan himself were fabulous.
Indeed Shah was good but Adnan Sarwar took his direction to next level. Literally hats off to him. The way this movie works like the spiral of DNA, PAST and PRESENT moving together, never touches each other hence they are constantly together with plenty of particles embedded from the NEAR FUTURE.
He showed everything in a perfect way; while watching you can actually relate it to your surroundings;
Life in Lahore, in corporate companies with capitalistic enviroment. Males like her boss and fiance who takes women her talent and skills as a property, then Males like her brother and just the imagination of her father who provides them the strength, the support to achieve what you dream, to live a life worthy; not just for you but the people around you.
Landscapes of Chillas, Babusar, Passu, Gilgit and then The great China Border; Khunjerab was absolutely amazing.
The mesmerizing beauty on screen will give you a glimpse of true Pakistan.
As our industry rose from the ashes, it is highly Recommened to every pakistani. Please watch and support.
Load Wedding (2018)
"Load Wedding" is fully Loaded
Released on Eed, Nabil Qureshi's 4th piece of entertainment is really loaded with comedy, romance, emotions; along with a lesson for a true tragedy of our society, the dowry and the negative and to some extent positive role of Media and certain media person who strangly but strongly affects most of our population in allmost every aspect.
Fahad's performence literally amazed me as a common man. His depiction of a Mohalla Ashiq with daily life issues and post marriage joint family dilemas reminded me of plenty people around me, going through the same.
Mehwish on the other hand portrayed a widow which is considered as an omen in our society. Her simplicity in the role of Neeru deserves applause.
The screenplay and the story, while watching you can actually relate it to your Mohalla, the closely constructed houses, the fields, houses with open halls, craze of pakistanis for certain Gameshows, will give you guys a glimpse of true Pakistan.
Well, its a fresh RomCom with a great passage that everyone should watch and everyone should learn.
As our industry Rose from the ashes,it is highly Recommened to every pakistani.
Please watch and support.
Janaan (2016)
"Pakhiar Raghlay", Jannan did its MAGIC.
The best thing about this film is not its story but actors who make it worthwhile and its music. Bilal ashraf, Ali rehman Khan, Armeena Khan and Hania amir's performances and perhaps good looks are the main reason why the viewers sat through the whole time They dressed so well; in shalwar kameez & waistcoats. I mean cant describe how brilliant everyone seemed during the whole time. The story opens its eyes in astonishing mountains of swat highlighting a pathan family and the very well known Pakhtoon culture, well without a doubt they did some unjustice to the true traditions of pakhtoons and to some extent failed to portray the essence of pakhtoons, there traditions, wedding ceremonies and some other factors, all were a bit too glossy to be believable, but yeah,i think this was the only thing the movie lacks.
The cinematography was excellent, the beautiful locations of Swat were captured so nicely, you wanted to be transported there immediately. Bilal the handsome hunk aside from a few stilted scenes, acted very well. Ali delivered multiple time to time comedy even in heavy duty emotions effortlessly as amongst the triad, he seemed most comfortable in front of the camera and the best scenes in the movie invariably featured him. Armeena "the girl with an accent",i wont say anything about her acting skills bet yeah, she was looking very pretty. Hania Amir, all i can say is that her simple dimple did it for her. Ajab gul was the best pathan looking actor in all, he delivered a very nice performance. Nayyar ijaz is a veteran villain from the time of DHUAAN to till date JANAAN, his very presence in the movie was enough. All the other cast was good and i don't know their names and stuff so, but i simply admire them.
To be very honest, the movie had a lot of potential. The attempt was really good.I am glad that our directors and writers are taking our cinema to the very next level without any item numbers & stories just revolving around girls and stuff. Of course, one should also watch Janaan out of patriotism, for the revival of cinema and why not, it was the best thing present on date, instead of watching Bollywood movies and increasing their revenues, its time that we move towards our cinema and start believing in our actors, directors & producers. Hell yeah our cinema is rising.
Wrong No. (2015)
Dial a Wrong Number and you may like the consequences
Well Well Well, I must say the film was average, but yeah; it was much more then i expected it to be.
1st of all,the story is pretty much old ghissi pitti. The same plot has been used in plenty of movies. If you are a story person, Wrong Number offers you nothing new. If only for entertainment, A few comedy kicks, funny familial issues and most of all the Essence of Karachi is what this movie offer you.
Regarding Cast; Previously,i thought that no actor in todays lollywood league has the ability to lead in big-screen alone(excluding a few), but i was wrong, Danish Taimoor got the guts to capture and run the movie by his name, and convince population to watch the the movie for his sake. Still, he got to sharpen his acting skills,he was good in Jalaibi and in Wrong Number, but i think he has much more potential.
Javed Shiekh,no doubt is a brilliant actor. He merged in the role of Karachi Bhayyia, sarcastically with character of a butcher & a hardcore father. His way of handling family matters with plenty of awesome comedy punches is what i liked the most.
I think there was no need of the underworld characters other then Shafqat Cheema, he alone could have done the role much betterly, the remaining underworld cast kinda screwed his bad-guy singularity.
The female leads were fine, but i think they could have cast better actresses. Yes these girls are pretty, but none of them knows how to act.
What i liked was the acting, dialogs & accent of few characters. Overall, wrong number is a good one time watch. As a supporter of Pakistani cinema, i recommend you to watch it.
Maalik (2016)
Maalik gives you something; you never had before.
After 23 years, writer of the masterpiece "Dhuwan", Ashir Azeem, returns as a debut film director, and yeah, he nailed it. Both cinematically and systematically Ashir Azeem's comeback venture has all the ingredients that makes this film, simply astonishing.
Maalik is about war, politics, corruption and most of all about patriotism and taking ownership of one's country. Portrays our society from grass root strugglers to the highest levels of wealth and power. But yes it rose above all the elements and showed us the bigger picture; "take control".
Four parallel stories moves along, intermingles and by the climax, people were either clapping hard or leaving the cinemas with hundreds of questions in their minds.
A SSG officer who wnet through a tragic incident, gets early retirement and starts a private security company with his father, combining his past SSG colleagues on their retirements.
A pathan that escapes from the Soviet war in Afghanistan after declining to take part in battle and settles in Karachi, with his wife and two daughters.
A school master who suffers a lot by a Pharohic nature lord and continues to fight for his right while walking on the path of idealism, while that corrupt, coldblooded lord becomes the Chief Minister and unleashes a reign of terror on all that cross his path.
And finally the SSG based security company ends up becoming a social working company, who will do anything to bring justice to this very society; works under the oath "main Pakistan ka shehri,Pakistan ka maalik hon"
In conclusion, Maalik is brilliantly made movie; filled with perfectly shot action sequences, heart wrenching tragedies and dirty politics; slick and stylish in quality and impactive in content;
Its a must must must watch for every Pakistani.
3 Bahadur (2015)
3 bahadur could have been better, but for a debut, it is pretty good.
In the times when Disnep & Pixar, it is pretty difficult to make your mark; but at least for me, 3 Bahadur hits the right spot.
According to me,
Graphically the movie was below average, they should have used better tools & techniques or the realoty synthesizers that is used in western animation and games.
Story, Sound,Characters and the Superpowers of characters were pretty good. All 3 main characters were cool in their own way but i liked Kamil the most. Saadi the heroic one, was kinda usual hero. Kamil the funny one, with good dialogues & body language. Amna the intelligent one, her dialogues and reaction on kamils attitude were the best i must say. Mangu the bad guy, most of the times reminded me Prince of Persia warrior within, seemed same.
The best thing in the movie was the Superpowers given to 3 bahadur, they were new and truly i was expecting wolvering & fantastic four kinda power but thank God the didn't followed them.
The Shield & the Black hole was the best thing & they made the characters use them in an awesome way.
Overall, for a debut aniamtion movie, it was good.
I recommend it to all and show it to your kids they might get excite about our own 3 bahadurs instead of Chota Bheem or Dorimon crap.
Promote your industry, Promote Pakistan.
Manto (2015)
Manto is Astonishing
Manto deserves standing ovation. As its a rise of our industry from ashes, such an epic biopic has made its own spot in the genre of drama when it is the age of commercial movies.
Manto is Bold. It has drama, love, empathy and tragedy wrapped in a harsh dark realities of our society plus the artists, poets & writers & their financial, personal & professional issues when the work a little off stream in the subcontinent. Hats off to Sarmad. Sarmad Khosat reveals awesome acting abilities in portraying Manto. He did justice to some complicated character of a writer, alcoholic, smoker & a liver patient that could be a haunting job for some other performers. No one can spot that it was his debut on big screen. He made Manto's misery believable.
Other then Sarmad, the roles like Saba Qamar, Nadia Afghan, Sawaira Nadeem & Mahira khan showed a true potential that u can show even when the role is short. The role of Sania Saeed as Manto's wife was the cherry on top.
U may not get masala ingredients and Item numbers to make it a blockbuster but Movies like MANTO restores your faith in Pakistani Cinema.
Yeah, we are rising.
A must must watch.
Josh (2013)
City Of God
Josh - is kind of an experience we usually don't get from the media world. a faith, a lost hope that even the person, who dsnt belong to a specific community, when tries to approach something peacefull & useful for the betterment of people, the people rise with them.
Its the 1st movie of Iram Bilal & she proved herself in the directorial abilities. The storytelling was a little extended which made it alittle rough but it got covered by the acting skills of Aamina Shiekh. I liked her from the 3 years old show MAIN ABDUL QADIR HON. Yeah she is one sharped actress & fulfilled the character of Fatima in pretty good way. Actor Mohib Mirza & Adnan Shah acted pretty decently. Cinematographer Nausheen Dadabhoy succeeds in capturing the very essence of Karachi, conveying that imperceptible vitality which is hard to describe with words.
Thus the movie not a feast treat but it provides u a moment to think about what a mans duty should be,even with the slightest resources. Time to think about our society, our culture, our Pakistan.
Give JOSH a try - its worth it.
Waar (2013)
A milestone achieved while rest of the industry was almost dead.
Well as i ve seen the movie twice in cinema & multiple times in mobile & PCs, i finally decided to give my reviews regarding WAAR. After a long long time, we see a movie in Pakistan that has attracted a multitude of viewers all around the country. The cinematography and special effects are something rare in Pakistan. Shan is no doubt currently the best actor in Pakistan film industry and he has proved his skills in the film with utmost maturity. Hamza Ali Abbassi, the face in the cinema has shown astonishing dialouge delivery & an ATS skills. Shamoon played a real bad ass without a sense of pity. Director Bilal Lashari, who studied film-making in California, says: "There was just no question, even if people were telling me: 'How can you do without them?'.From cinematography to style of acting, it is different from what has gone before.. Everyone here has been following Bollywood but the best we can ever come up with is going to be a B grade knock off. We need to create our own identity" & hell yeah he did!!
For audiences here, it is going to be a complete 180 degree shift. From cinematography to style of acting, it is different from what has gone before." There is story, special effects, action scenes, performance, direction and so on that decide the fate of a film. Judging on these pure cinema related merits, the movie is a wonderful of especially keeping in mind the plight of film making in Pakistan. This was breath of fresh air for Pakistani audience who were rightly disappointed and had ceased to go to the theatres.
As A Whole Waar Is A Brilliantly Made Action Packed Big Budget Patriotic Pakistani Feature Film Which Leaves You With Just A Single Word "WOW". A Worthy Must Watch.
Reservoir Dogs (1992)
either the world is wiser then me or i m the Einstien of today!
i don't know why the i didn't liked the movie at all,but what is irritating me that except me the whole world became a die hard fan of Quentin because of this movie. even i admire Tarantino's work of Inglorious bastards kill bill vol 1 & vol 2,but its not as good as it is popular. One must say it is extraordinarily overrated. A bunch of criminals robs a bank, one them is under cover cop...who tells everyone that he is a cop....there is no action in the movie, suspense which can hardly last for 13min or a little bit more, runtime is hardly an hour and half, did not needed but still showed enough bloodbath, the whole time i was waiting for the robbery scene but the didn't showed it,the main cause of the movie is not in the film. i mean what the hell. except a few dialogs and Tim Roth's acting there was nothing in this movie. so i can give it 4/10.
