Have you ever thought about why "The View" has an audience? So far, after 3 episodes I can only guess, even the overly passive, gossipy, rumor spreading, weak and beggarly need their form of entertainment.
What you have here is, a cast of societal under qualified misfits trying to impress well beyond their abilities, and that fully includes the people responsible for writing the script. My guess? A stage finally offered for pretentious pseudo intellectual mediocrity's.
I can't help but feel this crew actually portray their own true self characters, where talent is merely having the ability to memorize your meaningless lines, a bit of over acting and the possibility of 15 minutes of fame and you got Bob's autograph.
On the other hand (if you actually love this show), if you're looking for anything that resembles life pertaining to mundane bureaucratic institutional academic ignorance, well this just might be up your alley (birds of a feather).
For the general public who expect another Bob Odenkirk award winning TV Series, trust me when I say, this is FAR FROM IT! This show is so far out there, you'll be wondering "OMG!!! NO WAY!!! What was Odenkirk even thinking when he took this role?".
So why did I watch 3 episodes so far? I couldn't help but think, there's no way this can be so unimaginative and boring, without giving it a fair chance. Possibly, 3 x's a charm? I really wanted to like it? And finally, There's got to be more!!! (sadly and disappointingly, I was wrong).
The conclusion? 3 x's is no charm = 3 Stars (out of ten) merely for the presence of Bob, and high time to warn the others!
Sorry Bobby, but you better put your knickers on before your boots next time.
