Timeless movie! Great special effects.
30 October 2017
The only Hatim based movie I truly enjoyed. The song "Parvardigar Alam" is memorable. Special effects were great for the period. Acting was good. The person who played the role of Hatim's assistant Dhobi did an excellent job. Jeetendra's Hatim Tai is exact copy of this movie with zero improvements in terms of special effects, comedy, and plot.

Ripoff of Tim Burton's Corpse Bride!
25 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Like most of our movies which are Hollywood ripoffs, it is just an Indianised version of a Hollywood animated classic Corpse Bride by Tim Burton, minus the great sound scores by Danny Elfman.

There is nothing much left to be said.

I don't blame the actors, who are just responsible for doing what they are told to do.

But the our director and producers should really stop such activities. They should learn to give due credit to the original works. In this era of technology, ripoffs and copying works without giving due credit to the original works won't do them any good.

I am really ashamed of Indian film Industry.

Too much tampering with Indian Mythology
3 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Those who have no knowledge of the Indian Mythology, this serial may be impressive. But, I grew up reading religious texts and as such I find it unbearable to witness several facts are which are shown totally incorrect. Also this serial is really slow paced, so even if you miss several episodes, you will hardly feel that you've missed anything.CG is the best part about the show. Among actors only Mohit Raina (Shiva), Mauni Roy (Sati), Rushiraj Pawar (Karthikeya),Saurabh Raj (Vishnu), Jiten Lalwani(Indra), and maybe a couple of actors more, have good command over Hindi and give decent performance. Rest actors just use wrong words in wrong places. It is better to spend some time reading religious text than watching this show.

Decent movie with good performances by the lead actors
28 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
We have seen several movies where a girl is set to marry an anonymous person as groom. But this girl meets this stranger boy by an accident. They have interesting talks, they spend some time together, and they fall in love. The girl finally realizes that it is this stranger who is the actual love of her life and the stranger boy develops the same feeling for the girl. So the concept of the movie is not that new. But on the positive side, the writer managed to add an extra-twist in the end, and this twist makes this movie different from the others in the category.

Now coming over to performances, the actors played their part natural for the most part. The good performances by the lead actors keep you spell-bound till the end.

Direction was good too. Although this is a low-budget movie, the irregularities often visible in movies with limited budget, was not visible.

Dialogues were witty and funny for the most part and yet there were occasions when they reminded me of 'Before Sunrise'.

Songs were somewhat okay. Not great, yet they blended quite well in the movie. Still I wished that there was at least one memorable song in the movie. For such movies there should be at least one song which the audience keep humming even after they are finished watching the movie.

Overall, this movie is a well made movie. Indeed, a great family entertainment for all ages.

All work and no play, makes Mr. Perfectionist a dull boy!!!!
23 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I now know why we don't get movie with original scripts. Because Indian viewers tend to make such poorly scripted movies with great star-cast like this one, a hit. Mr. Aamir Khan, instead of being a self-proclaimed perfectionist, needs to be "perfectly honest" to himself. Does he really expect with such garbage he can sustain his fan- following? We can change the Delhi-government , can't we?

In my opinion, much better choice for the character of 'Sahir' would have been "Vinay Pathak." At least audience would have had a few laughs while he played that role. Just imagine that "malang malang song" choreographed on him. I bet it would have been awesome. ;) But because of Mr. Pefectionist's monotonous expression, the audience can neither cry nor laugh, but instead they are bored to hell. Has his perfection reached such greatness that no human being can have expression like that?

Surprisingly I found Abhishek much better than Aamir in the movie. At least, he is his usual self, not some weirdo-face expression like that of Aamir. Katrina was nothing more and nothing less than what can be expected from her. For Uday, I will have to say, no comments. Action sequences make me realize how much money, can the producers can waste on useless stunts. Only if they could spend one hundredth of that amount to the new story writers …

On the final note, I would say he script writers in Indian Film industry cannot be original, as long as the big Bollywood stars are giving hits with the terrible scripts like this one. Public needs to be more unbiased, while making such crap a success. It's a shame that the movies with original plot like 'Shree,' (which despite being flawed, was the best movie I saw in 2013) failed to gain audience.

Good Movie but not Outstanding
22 February 2010
According to many of my friends the movie is outstanding. And on their recommendation I watched this movie. But I don't know why I found this movie good, but not outstanding. This movie deserves a watch, undoubtedly for its acting-talents, original script, great locations, creative direction, etc. This movie is good apart from the fact that I find this movie, not memorable for long time. Maybe the movie was targeted to female viewers(God knows)? So, I find this movie only one time watch.

To my surprise even better romantic movies (like, Stardust) stand on much lower IMDb rating. My Rating for the movie is 6 out of 10

Everyone Deserves A CHANCE !!
15 January 2010
"Everyone Deserves A CHANCE !!" with this view I entered the theatre. To my expectations I found this movie up-to-the-mark.

This movie builds an Environment as if we are ourselves in the movie. Storyline is quite touching having a long-lasting impact on viewers. The movie depicts the struggle of the current generation whose talents are suppressed by the influential personalities. We all being a part of this system can feel it ourselves. The movie is a family-entertainer and has hilarious comedy sequences.

Ken Ghosh has done a great job on his part. This movie is certainly better than his Directorial debut and creates a milestone in his Career. Acting by Shahid, Genelia and Mohnish Behl(despite his short appearance)were great. Dancing talent of Shahid is an eye-candy to the viewers. "Pal mein hi" song enraptures the audience. To sum up this movie is a great entertainer and also gives a great social message. Finallly this movie is a worth watching with numerous memorable moments(especially the South Indian ad by Shahid)so go watch the movie with your family!!

3 Idiots (2009)

Simply Amazing
30 December 2009
Simply Amazing! I never knew that public was so gullible and so easy to deceive. This movie has songs with no charm. Producers and the Actors claim over authenticity of the movie, giving no credit to the author Chetan Bhagat is disappointing.

Rocket Singh is a far better movie having original concept. Throughout the movie (3 Idiots) it has bored the public by giving same message over and over again that the obtaining high percentage is not the deciding factor of one's talent. However, we all have passed through or are going through the education system and we all are already aware of this fact. Even if some may be unaware of this fact, there are many iconic personalities which provide same message through their life achievements that education is no hindrance to one's success.Dhirubhai Ambani and Sachin Tendulkar are such iconic personalities.

Rocket Singh gives same message in the earlier part of the movie without boring the audience. This makes Rocket Singh a must watch movie.
