Undisputed (2002)
Terrible...... Absolutely terrible......
16 September 2004
Lets face it, this film is in no way trying to be Rocky, but that doesn't cut it any extra slack, anyone even attempting to associate the two is way off the mark.

Walter Hill has directed some mediocre movies – The Warriors – 48 hrs – Red heat – Last Man standing, but this is what can only be described as monotonous trash that has the whole 'B Movie' thing going on! As far as I am concerned the whole script comes across as if it were ad-libbed inside of a week and you can almost see the 'am I making a big mistake ' feeling running through Wesley and Ving's minds as they play out their parts.

The frustrating thing is this could have worked, but instead it feels as though the whole thing has been put together like some overdue school assignment.

It try's its best to avoid being predictable, but there is never any doubt who the winner is going to be.

Half way through the film you think to yourself, 'surely its worth staying to the end just to watch the 'inevitable' battle of the Titans', but believe me you will find yourself feeling cheated way before the end credits begin to roll.

Finally, surely Ratbag Dolan (Fisher Stevens) in my book has to be a contender for the most exasperating actor/ character of all time, this guy grates on you throughout the whole film and no matter how hard he tries cannot portray nor even slightly resemble that of someone having spent time in a correctional facility. 'Go Monroe Go!' 'Drop the Bum'…….

2/10 – and that is for the slightly acceptable soundtrack and the fact I am a Hip Hop fan.

Avoid

The Hit List (1993)
What can I say
8 March 2003
This film starts by giving you the impression you are in for a good show (b movie or not), right from the outake you are presented with a far from unattractive sexually active blonde and Jeff Fahey (someone I regard as a good actor) preparing to do something nasty with a suppressed gun and a container of rather deadly looking pills! This is where the impression quickly wears off. The plot is very weak making it impossible to take your eyes off the screen in fear of getting lost in the film should you decide to do so. The action is also very weak and never really takes off, something which is usually a necessity in order to save a film with a plot as tender as this. I never have been a big fan of Yancy Butler but have never been one to complain about her removing her clothes, something which this film also shy's away from bar once. I cannot think of one reason to recommend this film for viewing, so basically don't watch it....
