The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021)

Well done

While many of the player in Tammy Fayes life were way worse than portrayed for a second I felt as if I was watching a documentary. Chastain, Garfield and everyone else were amazing. The story does scratch the surface of Tammy but only Tammy can go deeper into who she is. Unfortunately she isn't with us anymore. Being this is my first 2022 Oscar contender movie I hope to be rooting for this one. Well done.

Confronting A Serial Killer (2021)

These two people are seperate entities on different parts of the spectrum however in the 3 episodes I have watch I learned more about Jillian. This miniseries is supposed to be about Sam Little . If you would like to know more about Jillian then watch but Starz really drop the soap here. They got screwed out of a good crime docuseries.

Spontaneous (II) (2020)

Loved this film

I suggest you watch this. Yes people do explode. Yes the story revolves around teen relationships. This film however did have a deeper meaning behind it all which was a social commentary of pre-covid times in which drugs and guns were wiping out kids left and right and all we could do was give throughts and prayers.

Again the film is not in your face about what you should do about spontaneous things like violence happening however it does remind you of how others might feel. Empathy that is lost within many...even now. I mean look at some of the reviews posted on IMDB. This film will be a hub for those who are numb to films like Spontaneous and the real life spontaneous effects of senseless violence. Great film 8/10.

There is a joke somewhere in this. I just want to say that sometimes we forget how good of an actor Gerard Butler is. I had times in which I didn't listen to dialogue but Butler , Swindells and Mullans conveyed all of the emotions that pulled me back in. A physiological thriller based off of a true event of men who come into bad luck is compelling but at times a little drawn out. I gave it 7 out of 10.

The story was okay as it reminded me of every other romantic novel. They lay the cheese kinda thick on this one so a eye roll will happen. As it's a mini holiday movie I won't judge it to harshly. It is a fun movie so check it out. Also check out Dry Spell from Passionflix. That was hot and VERY well done.

Dirty Sexy Saint (2019)

To start off I have never read the Dirty Sexy series. I am also not familiar with the writers of the books. That being said I found the movie a bit campy like a erotic hallmark film. The pacing was rushed in some areas and long in others. The acting was great. Big thumbs up for the casting director because the actors were hot and had chemistry. I couldn't keep my eyes off of David Gregory *drool*. Overall it is a nice movie. Passionflix is go to for erotic / romantic movies.

The Hatred (2017)

They wasted half of the movie on back story which was getting good until the time jump. The time jump in my opinion felt was pointless. So much potential just thrown in the trash. I would have loved for a poignant finish to the story but so many lose ends made the film unbearable. Just do not bother watching. This crap look like it came straight out of the lifetime movie channel. Blah.....

Hereditary (2018)

It was okay

Slow pacing with heavy and dark atmosphere. I found the movie drawn out but loved the foreshadowing details as to what the characters will go through . The movie only really started aka became entertaining 40 or so minutes in. 6/10 for me.

Terrible film. Horrible ending and the fact that Dick Wolf was attached to this has my mind blown and not in the good way . I found this hard to capture my attention. Judging by the end they are setting up for a sequel? Please God no.

Save your money and netfilx time.

Await Further Instructions (2018)

Not a bad horro Scifi? Social commentary?

In the beginning I thought this was just plan scifi horror but in a way this film can be seen as social commentary on our need to believe what we see and do as we are told. Towards the end of the film the two survivors /lovers (who later die) , in fact didn't seems to adhere to what English society (or any society) told them to do. These two people were educated , outside the box thinking while the family were a bunch of idiots. The lovers used logic and in fact try to lead the family out of a bad situation only to be ignored because they listened to the dumb alien entity on the TV.

At the end only a baby was left and from the time she was born she was brought up to know only what she saw on TV which was "worship me". Isn't that how some of us stay ignorant ? By worshiping only what we see instead of going outside the box of our normal existence. Maybe I am reading to much into this . LOL 7/10 for me.

Dead Night (2017)

The Pollak family is targeted by an ambitious witch turn politician. The mother (I assume) who is the only survivor is accused of the murder of the family. Really there is so much going on in this film. I caught the tail end of it the first round and was a bit freaked out. This time I saw more and really .... I am still confused yet freaked out. You will come out of this wondering what did you watch. It just doesn't make sense. I suppose it is a commentary on how people with families are no match for witches with political ambition. I don't know....

If you are bored and want to be entertained then watch this. Otherwise save your money and catch it on TV like I did.

Superstars of Dance (2009)

I saw this show for the first time at work knowing Michael Flatley was in it and have to say that it was very disappointing. I came in assuming I would see some A class dancing that only shows like Dancing with the stars and those PBS showcase shows with ballroom dancing and other forms of dancing would provide but I was bored. The only surprise (only inadequately ) was watching some Irish dancers (possible flatley's own) perform flatley's choreography from Lord of The Dance. Seen it , saw it, and I no longer love it. Show me something new please. Flatley was lame as a host as well and NBC could have done way better with this show.
