Bleach (2004–2023)
7/10
Relies off its name too much

Warning: Spoilers
Bleach is a pretty unique anime. It's got unique powers for each person in the form of zanpactou, it has demonish mooks, and it has a likable cast of characters.

However, they haven't really revealed anything since Rukia was rescued. The only shinigami who have revealed any new powers were Tozen's lieutenant and arguably Rukia. Nothing new has been explained about the other captains since their initial reveal (excluding Toushiro). On top of that, the episodes are being drawn out with needless speech instead of exciting combat, beginning an episode with Ichigo emerging the fight Ulquiorra and ending the episode with Ichigo finishing his smack-talk with Ulquiorra. The characters keep pausing in the middle of battle, too, to talk smack. Yet, it is rare for someone to take advantage of these pauses.

They also occasionally do really stupid things, such as when Rukia (the smart one) holds her sword to the throat of an assassin, one whose colleague Committed SUICIDE to avoid capture. Even then, the assassin didn't do the obvious self-skewering, instead preferring to jump into the air and crush himself under rocks. Problems emerge even outside of filler arcs. In the recent battle with Kira and the Red Bird, Kira eventually hides in a building when his foe proves too powerful to take on at the moment. However, he was supposed to be protecting the pillar. Of course, his foe was too stupid to realize that he could just attack the pillar while Kira hid and accomplish his goal then, but whatever. Everyone still praises the anime for being great, even with gaping flaws like that.

In the beginning, Bleach was a 9 or 10 out of 10. Now, it has dropped to a 7, and that is only because the beginning was so great.
