Spider-Man: Friend or Foe (2007 Video Game)
8/10
You won't believe how good this is
8 August 2009
We all know about the phenomenon of Spider-Man. Stan Lee created him in the 60s, and since then, Spider-Man has captured millions of people through movies, TV series, comics and games.

Now, what is so good about this game? That is pretty simple to answer. The storyline is brilliant. We have Spider-Man chasing after a mystery person trying to take over the world. That is a commonly used story. But the way the creators of this game have expressed this story is what makes it so good.

Next, it is the gameplay itself. You control Spider-Man, who has awesome moves and combos, and a range of web attacks. Then, you face off against the most popular Spider-Man enemies and what happens next? They join you!!! I think you can play some of the villains after completing the game.

Finally, the game has humour, especially with Spider-Man. The creators have made sure that the web slinger is not without a wisecrack. This is a truly enjoyable game.

Ultimate Spider-Man (2005 Video Game)

Ultimately Awesome
31 July 2009
This is one of the most awesome Spider-Man games that has ever been made. There are so many good features that they have put into this piece of work that you almost lose yourself in the game. But everything, alas, comes at a price.

First, there's the good stuff, which is like, 99.9% of the game. The story is is understandable, which is a must for any game. The story basically revolves around the time where Peter Parker meets his childhood friend Eddie Brock. The game starts off with Peter against Venom for the first time. As the story develops, Spider-Man unlocks different attacks and Venom becomes harder.

The game play is very cool as well. The controls are easy to use. The swinging as Spider-Man is very good and so is the controls for Venom.

There is a variety of different villains that you face. They include Green Goblin, Rhino and Electro. There is a few more.

The only bad thing about this is some of the levels. In a few Spider-Man missions you have to prove your strength and lift or move heavy items using the triggers on your controller. Pretty difficult, but nowhere near the mission where you play as Venom against Carnage. You have to open some doors, and those doors are hard to open.

But overall, the acting, the story, the game play and the characters in this all add up to a really enjoyable game.

Ben 10: Race Against Time (2007 TV Movie)
3/10
the race was lost
25 July 2009
I don't watch cartoons that much, but I know that the Ben 10 and Ben 10 Alien Force series are one of the most popular cartoons of all time. Making the series into a movie is interesting, but you lose all interest if you watch this crap of a movie.

Firstly, they've changed it from animated to real life. Now, that is pretty stupid considering you have to make ALIENS look real. They failed big-time cause in one scene where Ben transforms into Diamondhead, he looked like a gigantic green pile of plastic wrapped in shiny aluminum. Heatblast didn't look too bad, and neither did Grey Matter. I don't understand why they made Wildmutt spit all the time.

Second, the story is very obvious. Hey look, there's a random scary guy, better transform into an alien. Hey, look I beat him. Blah blah blah, it's not interesting. The acting couldn't have been worse. I bet a random pensioners live savings that a 3-year old kid could've done a better job than Graham Phillips(Ben).

Finally, the action is like babies fighting over a teddy bear. In the beginning, Heatblast did not do much kicking and punching and he kicked butt. The villain couldn't have been more stupid.

This movie is a total disgrace to the Ben 10 series. If you have watched this movie please chuck it out or return it as soon as possible(if you have rented it). If you haven't, please don't watch it(unless you are really desperate and/or bored).

New characters, new locations, more excitement
21 July 2009
I have to say that I liked this movie the best out of the Ice Age series. This movie was much more humorous than the last 2. Although sometimes there was forced laughter in the cinema hall, it was still an enjoyable movie.

What is really exciting is that the Ice Age animals lived under the dinosaurs the whole time. I loved the scenes where Sid was trying to take care of the baby dinosaurs. The introduction of Buck was awesome, considering the things he did.

My favorite scene is where Sid has to feed the newly-hatched babies. So, he sneaks over to a sleeping bull and pulls the thing where milk comes. Turns out the bull was a male.

The movie being in 3-D only added to the excitement. I think that the movie had too much mushy stuff when it came to the baby dinosaurs and Ellie's baby. But still, this is one of the best movies I have ever watched.

Don't wake up until its finished
20 July 2009
What the hell is this piece of crap? This movie is even worse than the TV series, which is pretty crap. If there was a rating for 0, i would have given it. I have many reasons to burn this film. One, what is with that wacky hairstyle, Yugi? It's like he was electrocuted.

Second, the action is so boring. I mean, the monsters played don't even attack properly. The duelist just says "attack" and then the opponents monster is destroyed. That is the lamest attack I've seen in my whole life.

Third, I can't believe how important this stupid card game is to the world according to the movie. "If you don'duel him, the world will be destroyed" blah blah blah, so lame. I swear, Today Tonight's crap makes more sense than this.

Fourth, the characters are so non-lifelike. The Pharaoh does nothing but scream about some random thing. I have never seen the Pharaoh change his expression. He's always angry. Kaiba is meant to be cool. Instead, he's just a wannabe. All the other characters are boring in some way.

Fifth, the plot is historically wrong. Anubis did NOT battle an idiotic fiction 5000 years with holograms of monsters. Anubis looks like an idiot in the movie.

The only good thing about this is the artwork of the monsters. Say for example, Blue Eyes White Dragon. Its art is pretty detailed and it looks pretty cool.

So, if you like YUGIOH, the first step in becoming a master duelist is to chuck your cards away, destroy any DVDs and watch the music video "New Divide" by Linkin Park. Don't watch or play anymore YUGIOh. I am begging you.

This movie is failed, but not as much as people think
26 June 2009
This movie isn't a complete failure. People shouldn't bin it without understanding the message this movie is trying to communicate. Sure, the action isn't that spectacular, the relationships between characters is obvious and boring, but look at Mewtwo.

Mewtwo is the star, not Ash. The movie shows the suffering Mewtwo faced, and what he did after escaping from it. Ash and co. are just a tool for the movie. It is Mewtwo that makes the movie what it is. This movie portrays Mewtwo's encounter with humans for the first time, its reaction when its being controlled and its actions after it escapes.

Sure, Ash, Misty and Brock appear, but they are not that important in the movie. I think this movie would have been worth it if Ash and his friends were replaced with characters that didn't just stand there like a 3-year old. I would give this 4/10 because of Mewtwo, nothing else.
