I basically watched this movie for Amanda Tapping. I'm a huge fan of her. And I wasn't disappointed. I agree with some of the other comments that the storyline was disappointing, but what Amanda did with her character was quite amazing especially considering what she's been given. While her character in some ways reminded me of her Stargate SG-1 character, she gave her a completely different behaviour and much more softness - surpassed Adrian Paul and Malcolm MacDowell by far. If you're a fan of her, rent/buy it now. At least that's my suggestion.

Intelligent show

I was never a fan of the movie "Stargate", but being an admirer of Richard Dean Anderson's acting I decided to give the television series a shot. I am glad I did. The stories are clever and intelligent, the execution is excellent, the entire thing engrossing and makes viewer reflect on lives.
This show also has one actor the performances of whom blow me away on a weekly basis: it's Amanda Tapping. She impresses me so much that I first decided to look for her other non-Stargate works and also I have decided to start and run a website for her. Her performance bring realism and make - for me - this show 60% of what it is. The show is excellent and has deserved the 7 seasons that it has gotten.
