Kill Zombie! (2012)

Not that bad of a zombie film

I have to start to say that I really liked this film.

It had its typical slash and gore, its "we gotta save the girl from her hopeless position" and over the top action and comedy.

But being a Dutchy I especially enjoyed seeing the well known Dutch actors, rappers and TV celebrities.

I can think that seeing this film as a non Dutch You wont think its that special. But try to imagine this same film but with a good selection of your countries own actors, singers and TV celebrities.

For example, try to imagine this film with (f.e.)50 cents, Jennifer Anniston, Denzel Washington, David Letterman and so on.

Since this is an international movie database I gave this film a 7 out of 10, otherwise it would have been a sure 8! So, zombieflick lovers. Get your subtitles and see this great Dutch zombiefilm!

The Horde (2009)

Surprising despite French language

My hopes weren't that high of "La Horde" (The Horde). I was biased because of the French language. But having read a few good reviews, I was bold enough to take the proverbial plunge.

It was good! No, correction, GOOD!! Storyline had a good build up, good introduction of characters but also the great distinction of these.

But more surprising was the great level of camera-work, acting and fighting scenes.

The film was (probably) shot in one building, but it didn't bothered or annoyed me for one single moment.

All in all a very good zombie- gore-slash film!

Lake Placid 2 (2007 TV Movie)

NoT bad...

For the blind and deaf director and producer.Were they even there whilst making this? Or did they ask the baker and the hairdresser to do it instead? No wait.. That's not fair for them. They would likely have done a better job...

But the acting was done extremely poor as well. I had the feeling they were reading an autocue instead of showing some real acting. But what to expect from our hero, his main experience was from the dukes of hazard.

In short, I have waisted an hour and a half with this abomination of a film.

You wonder why I have given a 2? Me 2, I thought it wasn't as awful as a 1 but after have written this I feel stupid I haven't rated as a 1.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)

Very entertaining!

Last night me and 4 of my best friends went to see Transformers DOTM in 3D.

We had a blast of a time! We enjoyed the graphics, the action, special effects, the cast (read: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley :-) )and the non complex (but very entertaining) storyline.

True, this is definitely not a film to watch with your girlfriend, wife, parents, grandparents or anyone who thinks this movie has a cultural or profound meaning.

In short, this one to see when you want a great night out with your buds of budettes and a cold one.

Jonah Hex (2010)

typical action movie with surprising extra's

Your typical action film based on a comic, but with some surprising elements. It had some macabre features (where jonah could talk to the dead and he obtained quick reflexes after a near death experience) and though megan fox had a mediocre roll she had her moments where her acting overdid her role in Transformers. (not quite a accomplishment, but still...)

If you haven't read the comic and maybe not biased by expectations, you most likely like this one. It has all the elements for a good action film and the his personal crusade with his nemesis general turnbull makes it worthwhile to watch.

IMDb rates it with a poor 4,6 I rate it with a 6,5 (G.O.O.S.) ( for the original effects and surprisingly OK acting from megan fox and entertaining storyline)
