Revenant (2012)
Awesome flick! Great job guys!
If you like independent movies, and you like ghost stories, then you should see this flick.
The down side of it is that some of the concepts, including the main story line, are very derivative of other movies. It was like a grab bag of concepts from some of my favorite movies. But if you can get past that, then you should really enjoy this movie. For an indie, it's got really solid acting and directing, great camera work, great music score, and fun jump scares. All in all, I think it's AWESOME! Everything that you want in a ghost movie. I would watch one of these every night if I could.
So I would say, thank you to the two main filmmakers involved. I hope you can get this movie out there so more people can see it. And I can't wait to see what you do next. Great job!
And for those people that haven't seen it, hurry up and rent or buy it, then if you like it, tell a friend.
How to Live with a Vegan Without Killing Them (2004)
How to live with a vegan is not only a really funny movie, but also a cautionary tale.
"How to live with a Vegan" is a really fun movie. Scott is a good guy, that owns his own home, has his own business, and has a really neat group of friends. They like to hang out, drink beer, talk about girls, and have backyard barbeque's. Until one rainy night when Scott's girlfriend decides that she wants to movie in with him, and gives him an ultimatum. Soon she is moving in and turning his life upside down.
This movie has great dialog. Funny, but not cheesy. He has a great group of friends, that support him thru everything. And his girlfriend is the best, and most true to life, nightmare girlfriend that I've ever seen in a movie. This is not only a very good movie, but also a cautionary tale for all guys that get the dreaded "Ultimatum".
Laughing Boy (2000)
This is a Great Independent Movie!
This is a great independent feature, and well worth watching. It's about a day in the life of a guy that just can't seem to stop trying to be funny. He ends up going to a friends party where not everyone is such a huge fan of his sense of humor. And the fun begins. You may end up loving or hating this guy by the end of the movie, but either way, you will have had a good time doing it. It's just packed full of gags, and good times. This is what TRUE Independent Movie Making should be about. Great entertainment, very well put together, and very well acted. Joe Grisaffi is the director and lead actor in it, and does a great job at both.
