Moonlight (2007–2008)

Give it a chance - it's in its infancy!

It's been great to watch this show grow and find its way! The latest episodes are excellent! The show has a GREAT cast and crew. It has something for everyone: romance, action, humor, fantasy - you name it! Each new character that gets added had been wonderful!

And why oh why does it have to "compete" with others of its type? I can't wait to see TRUE BLOOD, personally. I'm sure the TV world has room enough for several such shows. I love my vampires especially if they're stylish, gorgeous, and witty.

More and more people I know are tuning in to MOONLIGHT and really enjoying it!

Saving Grace (2007–2010)

An excellent, original show - a wild ride!

What a cast! Holly Hunter, Leon Rippy, Laura San Giacomo, Lorraine Roussaint, etc.! Each show gets successively better as the writing gets tighter. No dumbing down here which is much appreciated. I hope this show goes on forever - seriously! Every episode is a an enexpected treat. You may not want to face some of the rougher issues the show raises about life, conscience, fear, God, and human nature. It's made me think about may past incidents in my personal life and how I chose to deal with them or chose not to. The writing is snappy and funny at times and at other times very touching. The chemistry between the cast members is palpable and every single character is original and interesting. What a true joy to know as a viewer I'm being asked to think and consider what I'm watching and make up my own mind rather than be spoon fed someone else's definition of good and evil. This is the only show I make sure I never miss!

Brilliant and beautiful and breathtaking.

The flip side of Shakespeare in Love - flipped several times over, but every bit as magical, passionate and fun. What takes this a notch higher than SIL, is the full out portrayal of all sides of human sexuality with absolutely no excuses or pretense.

The best thing is that what we do *not* see at the end.

Amazing spot-on supporting performances by Rupert Everett, Ben Chapman, Tom Wilkinson, Zoe Tapper, Stockard Channing and so many others.

The frightening bizarre hair, makeup and costumes are used so wonderfully in this film to remind us of our of our frailty, vanity, but mostly of our beautiful humanity. No hiding here - from anything. No excuses!

The humor is there... the life is there...the cruelty, the spirit, the hypocrisy. All of it.

I could see this movie a hundred times and not be bored.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)

A sexy, funny, action-packed commentary on male/female relationships!

This film was a joy to watch! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's chemistry was magic. It was delightful to see them exercise their comedic skills. And then, to add Vince Vaughn to the mix was the frosting on the cake! The film's pacing was lightning fast, as needed for the broad farce it was meant to be. I simply can't believe reviews I've read that state the film was "unrealistic" - what idiocy! I sincerely doubt anyone associated with the film was aiming for realism as they worked to shine a very bright light on the way men and women (and especially married couples) deal, or rather don't deal, with each other. The message is right on the money, and like any good farce, it is delivered in a heightened fantastical manner. We're allowed to laugh out loud at ourselves while watching some very attractive actors play out the oldest conflict in the world: the battle of the sexes.

Bravo to everyone associated with this production! Ignore the voyeuristic tabloid garbage about their private lives, and go see this movie just for the enjoyment it brings.
