It's not only the music but also dance, or rather the life that springs out from the combination of them that makes you jump out of your seat. It's everywhere throughout the movie... birth, death, joy, sadness. I think it's significant that the same tune (Tutti frutti tequila ;) is used for both the funeral and for the party. And YEAH, you HAVE to admire Rona Hartner's style when it comes to dancing (along with the other gypsies).

I normally have a much better opinion on Romanian movies and also on Rona Hartner...but I have to say that this movie sucks. If you're going to see a movie with Rona Hartner, I strongly suggest Gadjo Dilo. Her performance there is far better. Overall this feels like a flat boring movie that seems to have been made because they HAD to make a movie. They've put some of the younger actors along with Romania's acting 'dinosaurs' in a tasteless production.
