Vucje bobice (2022)

Waste of time

My 7yo daughter watched the movie with her class, and my curiosity was the only reason I watched this. I feel bad giving a poor mark to a children movie, but it is that bad. A lousy script hitting all the idologic stereotypes, directed poorly, with a cast in worst performances of their respective careers. If it wasn't a child movie, one could draw ironic laughs from its laughable, pointless dialogs, over the top acting, predictable story development, even the flagrant product placement. It is particularly bad for the movie that the Serbian national TV broadcaster aired it during the holiday season, just before the superb children-/comming of age movie How I Learned To Fly (10 stars, for sure).

Breaking Up (1997)

a very nice and honest movie!

i have decided to write a review motivated by an unfairly low mark this movie has. negative votes are made by people who give 1 to likes of 'memento' and 8 to 'death race 2'. most of negative voters are clearly unable to get the point of this movie.

it is a movie for mature audience. it speaks on a level which requires personal experience of love and its losing.

it is a very honest movie which takes you on an emotional roller coaster whose main plot is summarized in the title. the directing is somewhat dated, but efficient, and the movie never becomes dull. the plot should not be read as an exercise in depicting reality, and the director follows the approach faithfully. still, the movie hits the nail on the head in the overall.

both leads have performed an excellent job!

Clip (2012)

flawed execution...

the main premise of the movie is to give a brutal insight into the everyday life of the Serbian youth through the eyes of a coming-of-age girl entering the adult (sex) life.

there is not much of a plot, and development of the characters is shallow. it seems that the main concern for the author is to shock and provoke the audience through the scenes of underage explicit eroticism. it's a shame the move hasn't went further with the story, and stops the half way compared to the likes of "kids (1995)". it more follows the pattern of the recent series of Serbian movies: "a Serbian movie", "the life and death of a porno gang"...
