This movies has a fast paced euro style movie over it. I saw it on DVD and was satisfied and surprised that it wasn't as bad as IMDb viewers thought it was. this movie reminded me of the movie RONIN also an Euro action movie - with a background setting in east Europe. but this time instead of East Europe its a Spanish city. Mabrouk El Mechri (JCVD 2008)is the director of this fast paced movie and as a director he does not have a big background in making action movies - and it shows! - even though there a couple of very good car chase scenes reminiscence of the cool movie Ronin . If i have to say anything good about this movie it would be that this movie has an honest appeal to its approach to the plot and the characters in the movie. The lead character in this film is not Bruce Willis but his "son" played by Will Shaw (Henry Cavill)(2013 Superman), as an actor he did a great job in the epic flick: Immortals. This time plays a young Wall Street trader. At first we see henry trying to find his way in this who's-done-it story - but he ends up being better at dealing with bad guys then doing stock trading. A Borne-wanna-be or a young Bond. The movie it self lends parts of its plot lines from different movies - but it would be wrong to compare it with the "Borne" series, witch is superior to this average movie - the pace is fast - characters are not that believable and some of the actors are of Claude van Dame standard yet still fun to watch. don't expect to much - this movie can best be viewed on a DVD if you absolutely need your action fix. but save your money if if your a cinema goer. i give it a 7 to pull the ratings up - from those who where stupid enough to give it 1. its not that bad - but its definitely and average movie no better then Fast & furious series or any action flick from Claude or Chuck N.

All Star Superman - finally a worthy movie to watch

I can honestly say that this take on the superman story is the best iv'e ever seen. both emotionally and suspense wise the movie fully delivers on all fronts. Iv'e been away from superman the comic for quiet some time - but have seen all of the DC movie material that have been available, but non of the other renditions of Supermans story comes close to this one - This knowing that most of the material is from Morrison's: All Star Superman Comic series - the movies overall style is true to the Comic version with bright colors, light humor and great scenes.
The Drawing are fabulous reminding me of the Japanese Anime style, at some points but still with a strong American pen style, voice overs are very good and believable, poses etc. are just wow - there's simple so many good moments in this Movie that its hard not to get surprised on every new picture frame. At one point i was thinking: " all this goodness must end soon" but no the movie kept going on with some new cool stuff to marvel over. i guess this movie has all the trademarks of good old solid craftsmanship, teamwork and love towards the superman legacy - witch are very visible when handling old classic elements from other alternative superman comic stories that have been weaved nicely into the story.
end note: i felt a closure to the superman epos, witch was nice.
This is the superman i want to remember..

Well the first TV show is off and the disappointment is great already - and its unlikely i will watch the rest of the show. so her is my sour grapes. As commented in the treads, a great deal of the cast from Dr.Who is in this spin off from Smallville yes a spin off?? - directly quoted from Julie Gardner, the head of drama at BBC Wales:
'Merlin was also influenced by US show Smallville, about the early years of Superman. Smallville helped provide the idea that Merlin would see a 'Camelot that existed before its golden age'. 'Just as in Smallville we wanted to subvert expectations,' said Capps. 'Camelot is a land where magic is banned and Merlin ... is a young boy who works as Arthur's manservant and has to hide his abilities'.end quote
while Smallville works a bit better with a set up about a pre-superman era - still with a lot of flaws, Merlin the TV show does not have a cool set up like that at all. The original story about Merlin and how he helps Uther Pendragon played by Anthony Head - is never upheld and the hole timeline is therefore destroyed. Also we see that Merlin and Arthur are at the same age witch is most confusing - as Uther should have been younger then Merlin. And he Merlin helps Uther have another son..
Shine producers Julian Murphy and Johnny Caps from BSkyB's teen horror show Hex should have stuck to teen stuff- this show reeks off bad scripting/acting all over and is not even better then the worst Dr. Who script idea. A super cool film for the whole family

Nim's Island is probably one of the most enjoyable family movies i have seen in a long time. all of the characters a believable and the story builds up nicely around our main character.the young girl: Abigail Breslin as Nim Rusoe. Jody Foster has one of her best roles ever since silence of the lambs - period! its nice to see at a different type of roles with lots of humor and warmth. This movies is not just for small children and their moms but can be enjoyed by the male audience also - as it has a good portion slapstick moments. I found my self laughing at Jodie Fosters antics and phobias. A truly enjoyable moment with her as an actor - and i think she must have loved this type of role as well - this i think seeing her lighting up on the this screenplay. Lets hope we can see her in more fun movies like this. cool pictures, fun animals, nice people and a happy story - what more does one want?.. oh to be on that island of course :-)

This film features some of the alleged controversies in history -- the construction of the great pyramids 12,000 years ago, almost 7,500 years earlier, the existence of the Ben-Ben stone (the pyramid stone that is now missing from the top of the Khafre pyramid), the correlation between the position of the pyramids and the stars from the Orion constellation (associated by the Egyptians with the god Osiris), the Sphinx with a head of a lion allegedly correlated with the Leo constellation rising to the east (at the same time when Orion is in conjunction with the Giza pyramid complex) and the possible nonhuman origin of the first kings of Egypt.( look at Atlantis origin and fall)

As Stargate the movie or Conan the barbarian, this movie was very entertaining but not at Oscar performance, the actors was believable and i felt a connection with them as real people with real feelings, the CGI was cool - to enjoy the movie you must be Abel to forget about your classic history teachings. It was a true adventure and i was entertained - for those who just rant about how bad the movie was - they might not enjoy other movies like this type as you are supposed to be able to weave your imagination into this story.
