Evans plays Lucas Lee, one of the evil exes Scott Pilgrim has to fight in this quirky, fast-paced comedy. Even though his screen time is pretty limited, Evans absolutely steals the show as this cocky, over-the-top action movie star with a love for skateboarding. He's one of the funnier villains in the film, delivering his lines with just the right amount of arrogance and comedic timing.
The film itself is a fun, visually unique ride based on a graphic novel, blending video game aesthetics with a coming-of-age love story. It's packed with action, comedy, and pop culture references, and Evans' character is a perfect example of the fun, exaggerated energy the movie brings.

"The Good Bad Mother" stands out as one of the most emotionally charged dramas of 2023. Ra Mi-ran delivers an outstanding performance as Jin Young-soon, perfectly embodying a mother who, out of love, has pushed her son to the point of emotional detachment. The storyline is incredibly moving, dealing with themes of family, forgiveness, and the long-term consequences of parental pressure. The emotional beats in this show are intense, with moments that are guaranteed to bring tears to the eyes of the audience.
Despite the heavy themes, the series balances its more dramatic moments with humor and lightness, especially through Kang-ho's childlike innocence after the accident. The character development is profound, showing how tragedy can sometimes offer an unexpected path toward healing and reconciliation. The only drawback is that some of the plot points may feel overly melodramatic, but the heartfelt performances and touching narrative more than make up for it. "The Good Bad Mother" is a touching story of love and redemption that will stay with viewers long after it ends.

Veteran is an action-comedy that pits a seasoned detective, Seo Do-cheol, against a young, arrogant chaebol heir, Jo Tae-oh, who's involved in various criminal activities. The film is filled with fast-paced action scenes, but what sets it apart is its humor and the clever way it handles social commentary about the corruption of the rich. Hwang Jung-min's portrayal of the relentless detective is fantastic, bringing both intensity and humor to the role. The hand-to-hand combat and chase scenes are energetic and keep the audience engaged. What makes Veteran especially enjoyable is the tension between Seo and Jo. While Seo represents justice and grit, Jo embodies the entitled, untouchable elite who believe they can get away with anything. The film subtly critiques the imbalance of power in society while still being a thrilling ride filled with great fight choreography. The action and the moral message combine to make it one of the standout Korean action films of the decade.
