All of my friends whatched this show years ago, and finally I decided to give it a try. The idea is good, actually brilliant, the acting is also solid, especially the Albanians, but what I didn't like are dialogues and communication in general. After watching some brilliant crime shows like Ozark and Mindhunter it is very difficult to accept many unconnected series of events and situations in Besa and the way the characters act in certain moments. In real life noone would do some things. For example in the first season Uros Peric knows that his daughter is dating a bad guy who sends him regards from his enemies, and never tells her not to see him or to stay away from him because she will be in danger. Many other unlogical situations happened in Besa, and that's why I can't give it more than 6. The music is amazing though.

I lived in UAE for many years and I'm quite familiar with traditions and rules in Middle East. These women are the ones I haven't had a chance to speak with. Unfortunately. I'm so impressed with the strength of these ladies, their guts to speak in front of cameras, and strong will to change something. Even here in Europe, there are not so many female Uber and Taxi drivers. So it is a big step towards the future of all the ladies around the world.
This movie is important because not so many people out of Middle East have a chance to hear such story, to overcome the prejudices they have about ladies who live in Saudi Arabia. The whole world needs to embrace them, and make one big bow!💃

Boring...

I expected much more from this movie when I saw the trailer. The acting was nothing special, there were two or three funny scenes, photography was also good. And Penelope's perm hair, so beautiful! Everything else was boring, we had to fast forward some scenes to be able to see the end of the movie before we fall asleep. The first and the last couple of minutes were good, the rest was pretty boring.
I don't know how do famous actors accept to be part of the movies like this one?! Maybe, because the characters were easy to be acted out. The entire movie was made in one building, I'm sure that the cost was minimal.

Too long and slog

The first episode started nicely and it sounded promising, however, the next four episodes were to slow, unnecessary footages, Sophie's background, childhood and other things that are not directly related to the murder. It could have been packed in two episodes and done with more thrills. I was bored and had to fast forward some parts to finally finish this slow documentary.

We have seen the same plot numerous times. The main character always has personal problems. If it's a woman, she's treating her family members really bad, doesn't show any emotions and spends days and nights working. Come on? How many Mares of Eastown we are going to watch? How many similar actings?! Nah..apart from a beautiful scenery, the rest isn't interesting.

It is a little slow, have to say, but it's good. I don't understand the relationship between Antoine and his mother. She was so cold and they never talked about things that had happened to him. Every single caring mom would ask her son what is going on. Even when she found out that he witnessed the dog being shot, she didn't ask her son about it. Weird. Years later, he came back to the village and due to the circumstances he decided to stay there. His mother never asked about his sudden change of plans. Then, her partner revealed that he had known the whole truth, and probably, she had too, but she never spoke to her son about it. These are the things I didn't like, everything else was well made.
