Reacher (2022)
His voice isn't right. And his acting is flat.
Tough guys aren't supposed to take like that. He pronounces every word so perfectly, so crisp and clear. And he gives no personality to the character. He looks right, but he's just not a good actor. Blah blah blah. I have to have at least 600 words? Ok. I'll expand on this. Watch Stallone, Steven Seagal, Arnold. They sound tough. It's just better if the tough guy actually sounds tough. It's also better if the actor knows how to act. Has he ever acted before? He's more suited to act in a Shakespeare play than a badass cop show. I can't even watch it. I'm surprised no one else finds him annoying.
Elephant (2003)
Zzzzzzzzzzz
Wow what a great film. It's a video of kids walking for an hour and 20 minutes. What a genius piece of filmmaking. Who ever would have thought kids walking would be such a great movie.
Seriously, how could the guy who made awesome movies like "Drugstore Cowboy" and "To Die For" make this piece of crap? What the hell was that? It's literally: kids walking around. Nothing else. With the immensity of the tragedy of Columbine to work with.... This is what you make? Huh? He shouldn't have tried to touch Columbine. If you're going to make a movie about one of the worst tragedies in American history, then put some effort into it. Pathetic.
Baywatch: Shark's Cove (1992)
Finally a true depiction of schizophrenia
So many TV shows and movies call people with Dissociative Identity Disorder "schizo", like 'Me Myself & Irene'. People rank on this TV show, but this episode does a great job of depicting a guy with schizophrenia. It's a heartbreaking condition. My friend got it at the end of his abusive, traumatic childhood. People with the condition really suffer, like it shows in this episode. Mental illness has been so often the subject of humor and ridicule. Good work, Baywatch.
The other storyline isn't bad either, sort of a mystery dealing with a shark attack.
This episode is before Pamela and Nicole joined the cast, but it still is good ;)
Nightmare Alley (2021)
If you're into seeing deformed people being brutalized, and animals murdered gruesomely, then this is the movie for you
Had to shut it off, as I don't really enjoy those things I mentioned in my headline. This director thinks he's so artsy by always putting graphic disturbing scenes in his movies. That doesn't show much talent to me. Great directors can make all kinds of different films. This guy lives to upset movie go-ers.
