Disappointed
16 July 2018
I gave one star for the effort at making one of the worst movies and one star for Milla Jovovich whose acting almost saved parts of this movie. I saw plenty of potential, but none of it was realized by the end of the movie. I blame this debacle on Franco's biographical portrayal of Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist. The big difference is that Tommy really believed he was acting and making a great film when he came up with The Room. In his attempt, he made one of the worst movies in the history of film making that will live on for the ages. In Franco's attempt at making one of the worst movies with low budget and a few great actors, he failed. There is nothing good or bad that will make this movie memorable or even talked about beyond a few bad reviews.

Fate and the courage to face it
14 May 2018
Some of these reviewers need to get off of their pedestal. I'm sure Clint Eastwood knew he was taking a chance casting the real life heroes, but what better way to honor their act and tell their story. I really don't think this was about money or fame. It was about fate and choice. We will all go through it at some point. We will have to stand up to adversity, face our demons and take a stand for what is right. Their back story helped us understanding why he pushed forward instead of running and hiding. The terrorist scene could not have seemed more real with the best action heroes in the cast. I felt like I was right there with them. The reviewers who say this is one of the worse films will no doubt lose credibility when viewers have the courage to watch and think for themselves.

Cage (I) (2016)

Could have been, but not
3 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I'm going to say spoiler alert, but there is not much to spoil. The movie had potential with some decent twists. At times, I was enthralled waiting to see what might happen next. Probably the worst prop in the movie was the cage. Sad when that's the title. A metal cage is impenetrable, but a wooden cage with 2x2 bars is a joke. To top that off, the bed was metal. Metal hits wood, wood breaks. Needless to say, that doesn't happen. It also seems that the intentions of the captor were never revealed, unless I missed something. Bad acting on the boyfriends behalf. He was way too nonchalant for a guy who's love is missing. Admittedly, I really wanted to see how it ended. Maybe I was hoping the ending would save the movie as well as get me past the flimsy wooden cage. It failed.

Is there an award for worst movie?
10 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I order to qualify for a worst movie award we should start with quality actors. I don't know how they convince Armand Assante and Peter O'Toole to play parts in this. Even aging action stars like Don Wilson and Bolo Yeung should have known to stay clear of this movie. Next, you have to fail at some of the components of a movie. The plot, script, acting, action, special effects, stunts and most any other component of a good film were all disappointing. There were completely pointless cut scenes to their childhood and romance as if building up to something, but went nowhere. I couldn't figure out why the voices were dubbed over the entire film, regardless of who was speaking what language. I rarely find myself wishing I could get my time reimbursed after watching a movie for an hour and a half, but this is definitely one of those times. I will have to admit that Armand made the most of his role. His scenes almost convince you that the movie might go somewhere, but ultimately they only led to more disappointment.
