Hercules: The Legendary Journeys: The Wrong Path (1995)
Somewhat weak start
As a huge fan of "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys," I was eager to watch Season 1, Episode 1, "The Wrong Path." However, the death of Hercules' family was disappointing. The fireball from nowhere felt like a simple plot device, lacking emotional buildup. Hercules' reaction to the tragedy was also underwhelming, missing the raw grief expected. The show might have been stronger if it explored Hercules' life before meeting Deianeira, providing richer character development. Despite these flaws, the episode sets a solid foundation for the series, promising adventure and mythical intrigue. Other than the first 10 minutes the episode is fine.
Hercules in the Underworld (1994)
Best of the series!
In my opinion, this movie of the series was the best.
A young woman asked Hercules to assist her in her village and although the woman was attractive. For some reason the wife allowed hercules to go on this adventure. The young woman's purpose was to attract men. But hercules assured his wife that her tricks would not work on him. Surprisingly, Hercules was correct. The woman fried her best to seduce him. But nothing really worked on Hercules. His will was too strong and his love for his wife and family was too strong. However, Hercules was tricked by is magical cloak, which drove him and insane and attacked him which made him mad at Hira. So he jumped into the underworld to attempt to get back at them. What's down there? There was a pretty good 3 headed dog monster witch fought against and overpowered, and then became friends with, and he used it as collateral to return his wife to the living. His wife had heard news of Hercules death so she couldn't live without him and committed suicide.
Hercules bargain with hades that he would control the beast and he did and save the day.
Hercules in the Maze of the Minotaur (1994)
Somewhat disappointing...
I thoroughly Enjoy the first 4 movies. But unfortunatly this one with a bit disappointing. This was basically just a short and version of the first 4 movies and the end boss was a bit lackluster.
I enjoyed the first 4 main protagonists but the minotaur was a bit small was lacking. It was just a man with a minotaur mask on in and the man was relatively short. Minotaur's need to be at least seven foot. I love the hercules universe, but this film probably didn't need to be made. The interesting twist was that the minotaur was another son of zeus. I would If the minotaur would have stayed alive and remain hercules, brother and earn his right so that zeus could convert him back to a human. This could have led to some interesting stories between Hercules and its brother in the legendary journeys.
