Kill the bad guys and live happily ever after.
10 April 2024
What makes a good film? Acting, directing, story, cinematography, music score? No! A good film is when a good guy kills bad guys in most gruesome and painful way in under two hours while stuff explodes! And headshots. Must have headshots. Badland Hunters is that film. Let's have a beer for it!

In post-apocalyptic Korean desert the hero and his sidekick hunt crocodiles to feed their post-apocalyptic community, but they don't know that an evil doctor and his evil army friends are conducting evil experiments on innocent children. Beers to the heroes and the children!

Korean movies are the best and when I grow up, I want to be a Korean filmmaker! Many beers to that!

Very basic and simple
25 March 2024
This show is very basic and simple. If you're looking for a fun or mind blowing detective story with twists and turns or a cool exciting thriller - this isn't it.

Every episode start with the main character looking for someone and by doing basic logical steps (like where was the missing person last seen) finds that person by the end of each episode.

Unfortunately, episodes were getting progressively dumber and I could not get past the idiotic plot of episode 5, so I quit watching.

If you're looking for something that doesn't require much brain activity and has a happy end, you might be able to watch this series.

Can't recommend, but can''t advice against watching it either

I finished watching all episodes and I have to tell you that it is not really a mystery, or a detective story, or a whodunit, it is a family drama. You know how the whole series ends by the end of episode 1, unless you're a complete doofus.

When the mother goes missing, family issues arise and family members begin blaming each other and mostly their father.

There is also a look-back plot-line of a young woman who befriends the parents one day and stays with them for a period of time and that changes the family dynamics, effecting both parents and their adult children.

And there is, also, a nearly idiotic plot-line in today times of two not very bright detectives looking for a missing mother.

IMHO, all actors did a good job with their characters, especially Sam Neill, who plays the most complex and most human character.

I gave this series a 7 out of 10 because it's not awful like most Netflix shows, but not as great as it could've been. Hopefully, we wont get a second season as this story got wrapped up and concluded.

Overall, can't recommend, but can''t advice against watching it either.

Jumped the shark on episode 7 of season 1
11 October 2023
You could forgive idiotic plot-lines and the the most annoying and self-centered protagonist girl, who does not care about her siblings or parents or anyone in the world, or the results of her actions. But when she runs off into the night after an escaped convicted killer while everyone is looking for her, the show reached the point of no return with stupidity overload. I couldn't continue watching.

If you're looking for a show to watch with kids - this show is not for you.

If you're looking into for a smart mystery - this show is not sure you.

If you're looking to test your limits of your patience - this show might be for you.

It is extremely stupid, very annoying and absolutely unrealistic.

too silly and too unrealistic to be taken seriously

This show is just too silly and too unrealistic to be taken seriously.

The bad guys always escape, mostly on foot. It seems that s.w.a.t. Team can't lean any new tricks and just does same things over and over again.

The dialog is idiotically mind numbing. Each character is a captain obvious impersonator. You can't stop laughing as soon as characters begin discussing their tactical plans or live in general.

Lead character Hondo is permanently constipated. Well, at least he looks like that in 99% of his scenes.

Some episodes must be written by children because the silliness of the script is overwhelming.

You can watch it as a comedy or if you're really really drunk. But if you're looking for a cop show, look somewhere else.

Thanks.

Very Very Stupid
17 January 2023
This show is extremely stupid.

This show is about two of the most terrible parents in the world doing the worst possible things to their ill-equipped kids who are late teens acting like 5-year olds. This show is neither realistic, nor logical.

The big reveal in the first episode of the second season falls flat and unoriginal.

The egocentric father who is supposedly a genius needs constant reassurance of his brilliance from his wife and children and makes the most bizarre decisions. Each episode starts with family getting in trouble and by the end of it all their issues are magically resolved. The escape cops, cross borders, escape mafia, escape killed send after them, at some point they escape prison in Mexico. Nothing resembling reality...

The actors are doing fine job acting this moronic script, but there is not much they can do. Constipated looking Justin Theroux tries to look smart and dumb at the same time. Melissa George and the teen actors bicker among themselves, break every rule imaginable, do unimaginable idiotic things, hate each other and love each other again in the end of each episode.

This is the world show done by Apple+ so far. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
