Sorry

So pumped to see him bounce back. Still hitting all the scared cows. The best they'll ever be. Anyone who gives this a low rated is just a fool with a agenda.

Woah. Hollywood didn't make this

Daily wire does it again with a Movie That's too gritty for Hollywood. Great psychological terror that as a parent of a preschooler I felt was too much to even be on the edge of the seat... I stood up in my living room the whole time watching it pacing back and forth. This is a movie that will stay with me for quite some time. Amazing acting and I'm glad it worked out the way it did in the end. Highly recommend. It was also great to see Vincent Gallo back at it. A complete maniac who plays the role of a complete maniac. Great film.

Garbage

I hate all this purposely trying to make a grindhouse type film. I even hate that term Grindhouse. Horror comedies are the worst and this one is no different. The plot is interesting enough, but they have to add so much stupid shhhheeeet into it that they think is comedy. The worst offender is this Christian straight edge guy who is the film project. Some of the lines of dialogue he says are so cringe worthy. I Guess that's what comedy is. If they played this movie straight it would've been much more interesting. Instead they decide to shoehorn early 90s 80s nostalgia references to fill in the gaps of a poorly written plot. It's got the same intellect as a Family Guy episode.

Kind of meh

Warning: Spoilers
A few decent laughs but the whole flick felt rushed and staged. I find it hard to believe anyone would be fooled by his characters now. It's a shame because the first Borat movie might of been one of the greatest theater experiences ever. Never laughed so hard before, the whole audience was nuts. the actress who played his daughter was the real highlight in this.

I Felt the Giuliani scene was interesting but not insanely funny. The period dance and the pro lifer scenes were the best. I general feel the exploitation of the kindness of the redneck dudes who took him in during the Covid lockdown weak.

This girl is a dumpster. Someone should send her back to the Florida Waffle House to take out the garbage that is her acting talent.

Something Special 12KM down
23 October 2017
So I was picked along with a few others to watch a 27 minutes short by @mikepecci called 12KM today on the promise that I'd give it a honest review. As someone who hates 99% of modern horror and isn't afraid to voice their opinion. I would of had no problem ripping this thing apart if it needed to be. The last thing the movie going public needs is another Walking Dead Clone, a politically correct slasher film or something that's a goofy exploitation film that pokes fun that it's trying to be a piece of sh-t. I was very pleased that this isn't any of those. The short film that I saw held my attention from the first minute and while I started saying to myself oh, this is gonna be similar to Carpenter's The Thing or a rewritten version of the Descent (which I enjoyed), hell maybe even a more gritty retelling of Island of Terror/The Boogens... it's doesn't appear to be any of those . I think it's safe to say it borrows from some of these films but it didn't appear to be knock offs. The film takes place in Russia in 1980 in a mine of some sort where a experiment in deep cave sound recording is being held. The mine adds a great claustrophobic feel and though I'm not a expert in recording equipment or mining drilling gear, everything used seemed legit enough for broke ass 1980's Russia. The acting was executed well and I feel a few of the actors delivered the common blue collar conversation well. This short had a lot of great atmosphere and moves along at a good pace. I hope that if it does become a feature it gets stretched out a bit more to become a slow burn to add more tension to everything. As far as what the horror is.... nothing is really answered which I dig. I can't tell you if it's a demonic goo, a alien life form, something HP Lovecraft Old Gods inspired or all of the above. I hope that if this sort does become a feature it leaves all these questions unanswered.... I'll also say the musical score was used properly, and at times oddly remind me of something that might of taken cues from the darker sounding tracks of Raiders of the lost Ark. so that basically my review on this... I think if you're a fan of subterranean places/ horrors. This might be your thing
