The Hypocrit (2003)
Living and urban legend?
A quick, enjoyable short film (or, let me specify "video" for all the snobs out there.)
Not entirely sure what, exactly, was being said (as is sometimes the case with a good Katharine Leis film (video)) but it doesn't really matter because by the time you start to turn your head the other way to see what's coming, you're hit by a big, white SUV.
Building on a classic urban legend and adding a nice "scene in a mirror" aspect, it's definately worth a look.

Ever wake up on the couch in the middle of the night with the tv on?
It's odd. It's rather odd. It's really rather odd.
You're typical stalker/romance film sifted through odd infomercials, children's puppet theater and tough-guy cop shows.
I think.
Purposely pointing a finger at typical independent film cliches and errors... and then painting that finger purple and decorating it with colored pipe cleaners.
I guess.
Can't stop watching it even if you try.

In the third act, after the giant lizard eats the sheep, you can see the words "BEWARE THE SCOTCH TAPE" written in the clouds. This is a direct clue as to who initiated the happy hour showdown in the final battle sequence.
Good stuff.
