Shocking olde diddley eye stereotype of Ireland
15 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Awful. Far fetched. Predictable. Stereotypes abound at every turn. Honestly sick of Irish people being portrayed like this....want to make a movie in Ireland? Spend some actual time here first!

The plot is mean spirited, although it does redeem itself in the end. A lot of the cast are miscast in my opinion. On the positive side, Lohan and Speelers have good chemistry, the latter being a shining light in this and he carries the film pretty much alone.

I love LL and honestly rooting for a successful comeback for her, but this is not the way to do it.

The 2 stars are purely for the beautiful scenery in this. Ireland looks absolutely incredible, which it is. Ashford Castle steals the show.

Predicted the ending from the trailer
15 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
To be honest I only watched this to see if my gut feeling from the trailer was right, and it was.

The "twist" at the end has been done so many times, and in much better ways, leaving this film watchable, but ultimately forgettable.

The 'play' premise and the fact they've been working people for over a decade makes the characters appear shallow and flaky, so it's hard to root for Mack in her quest to get serious.

It's billed as a comedy but I didn't laugh once.

While none of the cast were awful, they just weren't overly likeable characters. Joel Courtney seems stuck in the little brother category. Tom Ellis however, gave a solid performance and elevated any scene he was in.
