A Story Leaving No Regrets
22 April 2021
When reading the introduction to this film, one understands the nature of the story to be affecting the heart. All the actors unerringly aimed and fired their individual salvos and hit the mark. What got me was when I thought it was done, another salvo was fired to hit me once again in the heart. It truly finished me off. Bravo!!!

All those that said this was predictable are quite FOS. I absolutely loved it.

The Last Reason to See This Movie
17 November 2005
Having grown up about a mile from the Fordham area (Fordham University is here as well as the Bronx Zoo and the Bronx's own Little Italy), I immediately recognized and identified with its portrayal in this film. More so because, in the 6th grade, I got into a fist-fight with Frank Pietrangolare, one of Sonny's right-hand men (Danny K.O.). Even more accurate was its portrayal of the people. From the gangsters to the kids on the street to the fruit seller with the horse cart, the typical NY Italian neighborhood was captured for posterity. Into this perfect rendition was placed a wonderful story with strong characters containing the full range of emotions and even a moral. I'm not a movie reviewer as this bit of writing proves but I've gone through the trouble in order to point out what I believe is the most memorable movie line ever. If you've seen this movie you should remember it. If not, it's the very last reason I can give you to see it. The line is "Now you can't leave".
