El club de los lectores criminales (2023)
Stereotypical horror plot
The plot was very obvious to understand from the very first scene. Maybe it was because the actors ls made it so obvious. I suggest if you want to watch it you might be humbly disappointed if you are a horror movie fanatic. You could easily tell who the killer was because he was staring the main protagonist a the whole time. Anyways if you wanted to watch a film with a simple horror plot with no scares but gets you into the Halloween spirit you should watch it. The ending was comical but it came from a build up of moments. Many films have done the whose the killer plots but the nuance of technology and files sent to the group of friends was nice.
Summertime (2020)
Season 3 was something
Summertime was one of the shows for the season during summer the show would come out and make you feel the calm and pure joy of summer. Finding love and feeling heartbreak watching it from the first I watch all the characters grow and friendships blossom and also fall for the better. So yes I did enjoy the show, so I came back to watch the show this year and I humbly disappointed when season 3 came on. I felt like it was supposed to be a cliche ale and summer find each in season 1 separate in season 2 then find each again in season 3 because they were supposed to be endgame. It seemed like they wanted to make a suspenseful ending but it was very lack luster they made a summertime from a cliche romance drama into nonsensical piece of work.
Nowhere (2023)
Heartbreaking
I first came upon this movie on my netflix recommendations and I wasn't sure of it I thought it was going to be very cliche survival movie and over dramaticed. But it truly was heartbreaking it made something as crazy as a someone surviving on a shipping container floating on sea seem so real. The idea was there but the execution was the best part of it. Mia going through something beyond imaginable seemed like i was watching a true story of a pregnant women caught in an impossible situation in which I couldn't do anything about it. I like how the protagonist was less fictionalised and very practical it made all her attempts to survive heartbreaking.
The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (2023)
Whimsical and storybook like
At first when I saw how short the film was I wasn't interested because ive never enjoyed short films because they felt like something was missing but it exceeded my expectations the story was thrilling and the set design was very beautiful. The story pacing throughout it was good and very engaging. I liked the way they adapted it from the book into a storytelling reenactment and it felt like was reading the book while watching it play out. The story was wacky and bizarre in a good way, it was unique and comical in certain moments where the actors would say their line and say "he said" afterwards while acting through it.
