one thing i don't like about this drama
27 February 2024
It is definitely not your typical kdrama. It has so much more than JUST a rom-com. Literally I'm surprised how this drama portrays all those topics very easily which are still considered taboo in Asian society. The actors fully deliver beautiful acting because often there are one take scenes which feels so natural. The plot & characters are written so well props to writers & director who made this drama a masterpiece but one thing i don't like about this drama is that ML's character always talks about how important consent is & how he would never do anything if women says no yet continues to kiss FL without consent she clearly have issues but somehow her issues are vanished when he kisses her which felt a bit unrealistic. Other than that i can not talk more about how charming ML is & his chemistry with FL outstanding.

romcom

Drama had great potential but they didn't execute well. The main storyline was great but the supporting character's storyline was just there to occupy time for the episode. It felt like lazy writing to me. If they made the other character's plotline more relatable, it must've made the series more of a masterpiece than it already is. Other than that drama felt dragging after ep 7, if the episodes were cut down to 12 rather than 16 then really I'd be more satisfied. Regardless, the drama explores the point that the main characters had serious relationships before they met each other. It didn't hesitate to deliver the message that loving someone doesn't have to be your childhood crush or your first love. You can fall in love again, maybe with the right person. Also giving the message of communication is the key, don't assume things of your own both leads did that and faced big consequences. In the end, lying isn't a good thing but rather than just looking for honesty or truth, you should understand other people's perspective, which was my biggest takeaway from this show.

ONE OF THE MOST COMFORTING KDRAMA
24 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
What is not good about this drama, Engaging plot line, character arcs and amazing side characters. Everything about this drama makes it one of the most comforting dramas of all time. Shin hari & kang tae mu's character are my comfort characters, they have such depth like kang tae mu's trauma & how he learned from his trauma, how he stood up for hari and gave her time to think about their relationship also respected her decision of not going US with him making him green flag similarly how Hari has to worked hard her entire life yet this character shockingly makes best decisions the way she gives shut up call to min hu and understood tae mo's trauma made her a green flag too. Chairman being the most adorable grandpa ever, he was a typical representation of our elders who wanted to do better for us but in their way yet I admired him. Lastly, Young Seo and Sung Hoon's character hurried their relationship which caused complications in their relationship afterward like how Young Seo didn't understand that tae mu may have a significant part in Sung Hoon's life and was quite irritated with him and Sunghoon not telling Young seo about girl who came to his house drunk but green flag about them was that they resolved this matter at the end giving each other space and time, deciding to take things slow and understanding each other's perspective made them admirable second main leads. This drama is so near and dear to my heart because of its admirable characters and their arcs. And of course the comedy.

Engaging plot and unique concept. loved it
21 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I really loved how the writer explored 2 entirely different subjects making the entire plot very engaging. These 2 subjects being domestic abuse and getting stuck on an island for 15 years. I loved the portrayal of Seo Mok Ha, it's written very well but the way Park Eun Bin played this character was outstanding. She never disappoints. There was so much depth to the character her history of misery and constant humanly & admirable decisions made her feel like a real human. Same with Jung Ki Ho's character, it was well written and played well by the character. He was such a green flag and I'm LIVE for these characters with positive traits. Second male lead's character was my favourite character. N played this character so uniquely and I loved that but this character lacked depth. When it comes to romance, the main leads storyline lacked it, they never got the chance to fully focus on romantic lives. There was so much going on but Mom & Dad's characters were my perfect couple in this series. I really admired their relationship and bonding. When it comes to Eun ran jo's character i think it also lacked depth and unnecessary focus in the end, her story could've been much more engaging by making her previous partner the villain but in the end he came out clean which was very disappointing. It made Eun Ran Jo's character look stupid and lacked a sense of judgement. Also the romantic relationship both had in the past was not necessary but in fact made it look more unnatural & bizarre. Lastly, the end of Ki Ho's Dad was very disappointing and predictable. If he'd been more remorseful in the end and realized that he can not undo things maybe then committing suicide would have made character 2 dimensional. Regardless of everything this drama was fun to watch & made me learn a lot of things in the process.

one of the best thirties female characters
15 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This drama is a portrayal of three women in their thirties who have different experiences with their personal and professional lives. Personally, this drama was very captivating because of these three women. There were other characters too like the intern in the production office and the actress. Both played a huge part in the main plot and made the plot even better with their stories. I think Jeon Yeo Bean's character was the most interesting and captivating character to me. She was a fearless and realistic woman but also broken and full with fantasies of her boyfriend and in the end she didn't end up with anyone but rather went towards healing herself and chasing her dreams. Similarly gong myung's character's story was very captivating, the character wasn't one dimensional. All this time the audience was thinking that his girlfriend is toxic & insensitive and he is a very naive guy. In the end he is not, both of them had their own faults & mistakes. Which gave the plot a realistic perspective. I think Jin Joo was the main character. Her story was highlighted more in the series and her perspective made things better for good but interaction with her ex boyfriend was very bizarre to me, similar to Jin Joo's previous boss's character. Hye Jeong's character was given a good amount of screen time which was not necessary for the main plot. In my opinion, Eun Jung's brother Hyo Bong needed more screen time, and character arc, and a proper storyline, that would have made the series better. Regardless of everything it was a good series to watch.
