Bullet Train (2022)
7/10
Enjoyable for a watch
20 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
It was enjoyable for a watch because I'm a fan of the actors in the movie and enjoyed their performance. Some will like and some will not. There are a lot of obvious issues with things in the movie and yes a lot is wrong and really this obviously does not depict a real train scenario. Get past the obvious and enjoy it for what it is and it is fun enjoyable dumbness. None of it makes sense, but it's not supposed too. If you need realistic movie, then this is not for you. If you just want something fun to watch then this is it. Turn off your brain for 2 hours and enjoy. Don't try to figure out all the characters and stories as this movie doesn't try very hard to fill in the gaps. Just take it for what it is. A dumb fun movie.

Road House (2024)
5/10
Decent start until a certain bad actor shows up
19 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The show actually started pretty decent, and for the most part was enjoyable. The reason for the 5 star instead of higher is because of Connor McGregor and his horrible acting and character. I've never cringed so bad in my whole life at a single actor and how bad they were even at the small amount of lines they get. His walking and bruting was so terrible. The movie could have been a 7-8 if they just got a better character to play the role. The big bad guy was terrible as well but not nearly as annoying and horrible as Connor McGregor was in this. The rest of the characters and bad guys were fine and no issues with them. Would have been nice to see more of the road house and how he added value to it. Why it was so important. Some fight scenes were shot really badly and you can clearly see the punches and such are no where near the guy being hit. It looks comical. The final fight scene is just unbelievable as Dalton is such a highly skilled fighter and it's like his blows mean nothing to Connor McGregor character. Which looks more cartoonish then anything else. You actually don't really understand who the bad guy is in this. Cut Connor McGregor from the movie and it's a decent watch.

The Michael show is finally over
11 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This finale was horrible. They just took any care in the world and through it out the Window. Flame thrower's everywhere just for kicks. Everything just to move the plot on. No point to the ending. No body cared to make anything make sense. Code of conduct, gone. Chain of command, gone. Inconsistency's, everywhere. Black holes, just to add something cool. Discovery fixes self in a heart beat. Self healing ship whenever you need it. So happy it's over, can't even type anymore with how horrible this series has been. Do they really think military would conduct themselves this way. These writers have no clue.

3rd season is like WTH happened
8 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Sometimes it's just better to cancel a show at the end of the season, then to give us what ever this half a season is so far. I mean I'm all for the world's dumbest and unbelievable stuff. But this season and the dinosaur stuff is just ridiculous and I'll hash out the last couple painful episodes. This show suffers from trying to be the new lost too much. It had a great concept for a show but the writers just didn't have any content. I'm not sure how you have a whole world in 10,000 BC and don't have enough content to write about for 10 seasons. I mean we use to get 23 episodes a season. Now we can barely get half that. Anyways, great concept. Absolute failure in writing. Again.

Dark Matter (2024– )

Pretty engaging show for the most part
4 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I've watched lots of shows like this and they are all boring for the most part, or confusing, or just to much of a headache to bother with all the switching back and forth. Carrying to story arch's is a challenge and this show does a decent job of it. The actors are good enough for the most part as it's TV. I like the concept of different worlds and how they tie it into your unconscious thoughts. This is a very well done concept. Which is executed well.

Now onto the science, anyone complaining about the science apparently didn't understand this is fiction. I can't tell you how many times I hear people talk about how real the science is in a science fiction movie. LOL! If you want real science go watch a science documentary or something.

The science fiction idea in this is based on a concept of super position and as any nerds on here know, super position is a Quantum Mechanics thing with particles and can't happen on a macroscopic level.

But this is fiction, so we can take that concept and apply it as we like. The concept is executed very well as the box disappears and re-appears as it should in super position. Yes, a box that size can appear out of no where because it was in super position. Anyone complaining about this concept that thinks it's dumb is actually not correct as the concept is taken from real QM.

They play around with this concept and idea of how super position would work on a macroscopic level, which is pretty cool as it ties into many worlds theory which is some reality of real theory of QM and super position.

The snapping between worlds and characters is pretty nice touch. Although it is fairly obvious in this show who's who.

I'm not really sure how you make this go on for seasons as the idea and concept will get played out quickly. But willing to see where it goes.

Some minor issues with stuff in the tv show. But 8/10 as it is engaging and overall satisfying enough to watch.

Great idea for an episode, massive failure in the execution
25 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I actually like episodes like this of Star Trek. Something wrong, they have to go undercover to fix it without revealing themselves.

Problem number one - I can't stand Tilly. She can't run a marathon. Are you kidding me.

Problem number 2 - prime directive broken like it doesn't matter.

Problem number 3 - we don't get a complete story.

The episode never really finishes telling the story. It's like nobody cared to complete it.

I'm so done with the Michael show. This is the worst Star Trek series ever created. I can't believe it got this far with writing and directing this terrible. It's going to be difficult to finish this up.

Dune (2021)
5/10
Slow burn and kind of boring
19 May 2024
I know it's part one and we have to wait for part 2, but when you adapt a book to the screen you have to create some excitement, character building, and an ending. You can't just go by the book and hope for the best. Especially when it's half of the book. To be honest Dune makes a better mini series than movie. Because as a mini series you can just stick to the book and it will be fine. As a movie you have to change it to feel like a movie. Even if it's part 1 of 2. This just felt like a slow prolog or something. Never felt like we got to the actual story. Music was so awful and annoying. Not expecting much from part 2 after this.

More of a Kong movie
13 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This is not a Godzilla movie. Comparing it to minus one is just not a good comparison. Minus one was a Godzilla movie. This is very much a Kong movie with a guess appearance of Mothra and Godzilla. Which is cool. He was pink which is new. But little to no time was spent on Godzilla fights with other monsters and in the final battle he is just more of an after thought then real player in the fight. For a Kong movie is was pretty decent. I like the exploring of his world and monkeys are fine, but the bad guy monkey was not intimidating. Wasn't a fair fight really. I felt like mecha Godzilla was the better bad guy in the last movie. Screen time was more even on the last one. Fight scenes lasted longer and better done. This one seemed rushed or badly edited. Maybe a smaller budget this time. Enjoyable movie, just take Godzilla out of the title as it's a Kong movie. Love seeing Mothra.

An ok Godzilla movie
6 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I've watched a lot of Godzilla movies in my days and this one was just ok for me. Not bad and not great. But a good watch one time. The reason for the 5 is I feel this movie had several issues with the plot and story. The story itself is just ok and nothing well thought up. Godzilla seems to have no story as to where he came from and why he is doing what he is. You never really understand why Godzilla is doing what he is. The pansy pilot is very annoying and not very believable. The scene after Godzilla destroys everything and the pilot is just left there by Godzilla screaming makes no sense at all from how people act. There were some fantastic things done in the movie as well. This movie needed a bigger budget and more developed plot. But a decent watch.

Voyagers (2021)

5 for the first half of the film, 0 for the second half
27 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I really liked the idea to this movie, a multi generational space travel. Kids that have been prepped for it. The father and icon to the kids. A space alien. Ship problems and what should have been the complex nature of humanity on a ship.

Instead we got teeny bopper high school fight club. This turned so bad so fast after the first half. Literally just stop the movie and dream up your second half because it would have been much better. I would have literally settled for anything else other than this garbage.

There is no question a long journey would be complex and difficult. Depression, loneliness, space sickness, and so much more would be problems to deal with.

But drugging the kids and then having them turn into gang members is about as dumb as it gets. What a waste of an idea and movie. I would have taken aliens or some event horizon horror, or just problems a small society would have to deal with.

Well, not a total waste as the first half was good. But the writer obviously had no clue.

The Michael Burnham show is back!
5 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I forgot how bad this show was. Michael just does everything. She even does Star Wars now. This is such a puke fest. I thought maybe they may try to actually make this more Star Trek like in the final season. Nope, just puke all over the show. Tilly just make you want to punch her out so she just stops. How in the world would these people ever make it onto starships. The writers have no clue about anything that makes any sense and they just don't care. Throw it out the window, anything that makes any sense. Crash some ships, add some Star Wars, put some data but not data in, add some more super annoying Tilly, turn everyone into feelings people, the convict is back, the horrible music is back, the top chief has throws the book out the window and who cares, riding ships is just like riding a bike, 800 year old ships are gold mines, spore drive is broken when it needs to be, bad guys always get away even though they are always there.

Just can't get through it.... Keep falling asleep
1 April 2024
I'm not sure why I bothered to give this a go. As obviously, it's from dumb and dumber. But I got sucked into the curiosity of how bad could it be. I mean I sat through season 8 of GoT and watched the idiotic destruction of the best show on TV. So, how much worse and enraging could it get. Well, it can get worse. People should know when to quit and move onto something else. You're either going to make this science fiction and aliens or go for something more science based and get your facts right. This is neither, it has no clue what it wants to be or is supposed to be. I mean, VR with an ugly helmet that is supposed to indicate advanced alien tech. This really hurts my head. I figure some people that don't know anything about science and tech will probably just bypass any understanding and chalk it up sci-fi. But anyone that gets tech and science will most likely just give this a pass. I've made this suggestion before, if you're going to write about any science that we currently know and understand, you better get someone to explain this to you and fact check your writing first. Same goes for directors. Otherwise, don't try and use current science we know and understand. It just shows how much of an idiot you are and obviously most know D&D are not very bright.

Incoherent mess with to much going on that goes nowhere
23 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
What a mess this is. I figured I would stick this season out as much as I wanted to quit. The only reason is 3 of my other shows took a nose dive into awful seasons, that I quit them. The problem with this story is it suffers from lack of direction and lack of a real story. Side stories r us doesn't make it better. It's awful. This show has no real point to it. Things happen just for the sake of happening. You don't really care what happens as there is no actual investment in anyone. I have a feeling this is probably cancelled. I won't be watching "the last of us" Halo edition at all if season 3 does somehow make it. Enjoyed Masterchief when he got to play himself. But that was a very short amount of screen time. And McKee, why??? Just why???

I don't get the good reviews
18 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I feel like people didn't just watch the same episode as I did. Or even the same series as I did. Because a side from the first episode this one really went downhill from there. I mean we have a scary world of infected and yet, they are the least thing we see or care about. Joel is a super inconsistent character and can't seem to decide if he's the terminator or just an old useless man. The girl Ellie is actually played well. I think she caries this show. Based on what we saw Joel saving Ellie makes perfect sense because the infected are not the main issue anyways. Mankind seem to be more crazy and pose a bigger threat then infected do. I really thought the infected just don't seem to spread very much or it really isn't as infectious as it seemed to be at the beginning. Besides, this doesn't seem like it couldn't be replicated anyways. Now, let's say this actually was acted out as a real desperate infected world that was super dangerous and there wasn't lots of towns of happy people and humans were thriving. Then this would be a different story. Let's say Ellie became like a daughter to Joel. Then this might make more sense. There is so many more issues with this I could go on for a long time. But I really hope they either don't make season 2 or if they do, then let's see some real infected and real desperation in humanity. Just a really weird ending for a series about infected and post apocalyptic world. 1 is what it deserves for episode and season.

Writers and director has no clue who audience is
12 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I can only come to the conclusion that some people have become so stuck in some other world that they don't understand that a guys show or movie is for the guys. We want to see some badass dude with some hot a@@ chick killing a whole bunch of bad guys. That's all we ask! Masterchief is literally the easiest thing to do and not screw up. So, my only conclusion is that there doing this on purpose. I don't see how else you explain the attempt at girl bossathon in this mess and no Masterchief. The whole season 2 is the worst takeover by an alien enemy in the history of TV. It literally is too painful to watch any longer. Please do what they should have done to Reach and kill offf this not Halo show.

Wow, turning Halo into girl boss series
12 March 2024
I have said it many times that people in Hollywood will take Hollywood to bankruptcy with the girl boss fantasy. I just never thought you could do that to something like Halo. Masterchief was clearly the heart of the story and just like Mandalorian's own show, Masterchief has lost his show as well. I guess that's the end for me as all girl boss shows end in one way. Cancellation. This hunk of junk hopefully gets cancelled after this season as there is no girl boss audience for this. Hollywood loves saving me money these days. Never cancelled so many things and seen so much more money in my pocket!

Jason is great as usual, but everything else is missing
6 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
First things first, Jason is amazing as usual. You could have the worst camera men in the world and it wouldn't matter. He is just all round very skilled and very athletic. Not to mention amazing at what he does. Ok, now that's out of the way, everything else sucks! Oh my god, so bad. I honestly like the idea of the beekeeper and the writer sets up a good idea which is then written and executed terribly. Terrible acting from pretty much everyone else. Involving government was just not needed and made the whole thing so ridiculous. I liked it up till that point. It's like they couldn't think of anything so they just said let's go full John Wick. Well I enjoyed the first half of the movie and then the ending was just boring and became dumb. 5/10 for a good start and terrible finish.

So hard to find a half decent show these days
1 March 2024
If you're not going to respect the source content then just don't bother writing it or directing it. This seems to be the theme now a days. Just do the laziest thing you can as half a@@'d as possible. Just had the same thing happen to two other shows I started to watch based on tons of content. We seem to live in a world now where respecting people's work is a thing of the past. Where we just profit off of others. Maybe this writer should have wrote about that instead. Well this is see ya later and thanks for killing what could have been a great show if people had some respect for the source material.

Can you give it a zero
1 March 2024
I said it was going to be horrible and it's actually worse than horrible. I guess I didn't think it was going to get that bad. I think the writers were on drugs when they wrote this. Maybe LSD or some shrooms or something. I tuned in just to see how bad it would get and haven't seen something this bad in a very long time. Nothing makes sense because people can't be in a super position and observers don't change quantum states. Basic QM not even correct. The show writers just don't care, the director doesn't care, and the actors have no clue what there supposed to be doing or acting like. One of the worst abominations I've seen in the history of TV.

Warning: Spoilers
Very few movies or shows can handle complex science topics very well. But this seems to want to be a sci-fi horror of some kind. I can say it's no event horizon that's for sure which is my all time favorite sci-fi horror and Cloverfield is great. Anyways I think most people caught onto this stinker of a show already and like me thought it may be something worth while. It's not, I sat through 3 episodes and is it boring, boring, boring. The suspense is boring, the horror is boring, the characters are boring. I feel like the writer took pieces from different movies and tried to put something together with as little effort as possible. I'm done and out'

Difficult topic to cover, writers shouldn't write about QM
28 February 2024
The show has a serious problem from the start, which is they are covering a very complex topic that nobody understands. I usually avoid these because they turn into a mess and end up as dumb as possible showing the writer and director never had a clue about the topic to begin with. Not to mention the show is all over the place switching back and forth. Just a really bad way to keep people invested. In Episode 3 they actually have to explain the basics of Quantum Mechanics that any YouTube video would explain. Made me roll my eyes and almost turn this off. Would have been better to provide the YouTube link or Google search then to provide that pathetic explanation of QM. Interstellar covered QM and so much more and was fantastic because it had a real story that made sense and we were led on a journey of daughter and father being brought back together through space and time. It involved QM, time dilation, gravity, worm holes and some of the most complex science there is. And you could watch and enjoy it even if you didn't understand or get the science. Because we could relate to a dying Earth, because we wanted to save humanity, because sometimes we have to risk it all, because we wanted to give people a chance, and finally because a father wanted his daughter to live on in a better world. So many powerful scenes in Interstellar done through the most complex topics there is. This show has none of that 3 episodes in and I'm sure we'll give another QM lesson to a 8 year old in the near future again.

Boring, not believable and not masterchief
26 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I think for some reason people are picking video games as a way to show a new series. Pretending like it doesn't have a lot of well done story. This is what makes a mess like this. Writers and directors who don't know their audiences. Writers and directors who really either didn't ever play the games or know the story or they actually thought they could do a better job. This of course never works and always fails, yet writers and directors seem to lazy or to stupid to care. None of this makes any sense, it didn't look like a takeover. Masterchief was useless, two important characters die for no real good reason. The just leaving at the end sums up the writer and director mentality as the world's dumbest. Now at this point, everything has to be just as lazy and dumb. Things will not make sense and will be just to move the show along. Add it to the list of shows this is or has happened too. Absolutely ridiculouss.

All nicely tied together for a complete ending
23 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I actually think this is a really good ending. They really tied things up in the last 3 episodes. The formula was never to really bring Ben home. Hanna found out she couldn't do that. But what she did find out was that she could bring someone to join Ben to leap with as Addison and Ben's connection were tied together like hers and Ben's. The intention was never to bring Ben home and she knew Addison would switch places. Her intention was to bring them together. Very nicely done and really enjoyed the ending. I think this was all too late as the show has lost most of its viewers and won't be renewed. But great ending and leaves it open for another run at this again some day.

Superhero fatigue and same old boring stuff
20 February 2024
If this movie came out a long time ago it would have been great. But the superhero age is over and we are tired of the same old stuff. Aquaman requires Avatar level Graphics. You can't do aquaman on a budget because it looks cheesy and fake. Acting by Momoa is great as usual. The brother thing worked well. But like i said it's all been done a hundred times now. The worst part is that these studios aren't getting the point. You need a script that's original. CGI has to look real and good. There's no real audience for this stuff anymore. But the companies don't seem to get it, I guess they'll keep doing them until there bankrupt. Oh well.

Writers are not getting the point
14 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This series has some good episodes and starts going somewhere and then you get this trash. Boring, boring, boring! I think different people are writing these episodes or something. Maybe someone writes 2 or 3 and then someone else writes 1 and then someone else writes a couple more. Because there isn't any consistency. I actually loved the nod to non binary in this episode, it's actually done well and doesn't feel forced or in your face. But the rest of this was so boring. Like did we not get the clue with Indiana jones or something. Come on writers, you literally have thousands of things you can write about. I can't stand all of the side characters, come on writers. You already have to many and nobody cares about them. I don't get it, can't anyone hire a good writer now a days. Hope this show gets back to quantum leap and stops trying to be something else otherwise there won't be season 3 as I'm sure ratings are falling like no tomorrow with this.
