Nothing Compares (2022)
Sinead was like no other
Sinead was such a fragile warrior.
Having been a fan of Sinead in the 90s, most of these events were memorable. However in retrospect she was beyond her time.
I was a bit upset the documentary ended very early. I was hoping to learn more about what happened after the 90s. How she came to change religions. What she had been upto, maybe some interviews with her on camera, or anyone on camera talking.
The format was a little odd to not have a single interview and only people narrating overtop of old footage.
All in all I learnt a few new things about Sinead, but was left feeling sad and wanting to know more.
The Bear (2022)
Gets old fast
I did not like this show as much as I was expecting to.
The storyline drags, is repetitive, has forced conflict, is unrealistic and just plain boring.
The acting is subpar, especially on Ayo Edebiri. Her lines are delivered like she's never seen the script, couldn't care less and can't remember what she's actually talking about. It's unbelievably bad.
The constant bickering and fighting about absolutely nothing does nothing for the show other than take up space because the scrip is so lacking in content. The exact same things are said over and over and over again to try to create drama but it just takes away from the possibilities of a decent flowing story.
I don't understand how anyone could consider it an award worthy show in anyway.
Full Circle (2023)
Interesting set up so far
I really don't understand why people are being so critical of the first 2 episodes. There have been interesting storylines set up which Are going to be fun to watch play out.
You can tell the story is going to have very little to do with the kidnapping and there is far more going on in the undercurrents
Really looking forward to how this show plays out.
The house with all the hallways is an interesting decision. At first it felt weird but I now appreciate how it creates suspense and an uncomfortable feeling. I would never want to live there.
Hopefully people don't write the show off to quickly.
