Engine Trouble (2002)
This Is Just Atrocious
Now I am not one for slasher flicks and this one lacked that. I get the plot, it's pretty self explanatory. Two woman decide to take what appears to be a road trip through the countryside only to end up with a abused, gas mask wearing, weapon wielding, orange jump suit wearing, tortured soul on a mission to inflict pain onto others because he was abused as a child/man. The movie was more comical than scary and it was hard to actually get scared when I couldn't stop laughing. Oh did I mention that he is a acrobatic killer? Yeah I guess I left that part out but you would've figured it out once you see him do a one handed cartwheel off the front of the car while still holding his weapon in his hand, such a talent. This looks like it was filmed in a poor part of England, very poor. I couldn't take the killers character seriously as he grabs one of the woman by their hair out of the car, brings them up to the roof of the car, slices her head off, you see the head roll down the windshield, where is the blood you ask? Well it came trailing down behind it after a few seconds, really? Overall this film is a result of bad parenting and child abuse, the killer clearly was saddened to be locked up in a dungeon by his douche bag father and finally escaped his grasp only to come back home and get scolded by his father, the film is just awful but if you need a good laugh, please feel free to watch this movie!
The Room (2003)
Such A Comedy
This movie falls into the category of soft core porn with a comedic twist. Tommy Wiseau (the main character) has a voice that reminds me of a slurring drunk that is illiterate. I can see why this movie is a cult classic but seriously? The film was a very low budget film that doesn't even deserve a review. I can't begin to understand what Tommy Wiseau was thinking when making this film but it wasn't Oscar winner. The acting is terrible and comedic and the music for the film is just as bad. The plot is underdeveloped and the script is poorly written. I love how everyone in this movie took there script seriously, I don't see how you could, it was written by Tommy Wiseau who clearly wasn't in a right state of mind to be writing anything. If you need a good laugh, rent this!
Maximum Overdrive (1986)
Wow (Spoiler Alert)
I gave this movie a 3 out of 10 rating (I was being generous). Granted this movie was made in the 80's so that's where the 3 came into play. I didn't care for the movie at all. The whole cast of this movie was dumb, Emilio Estevez was the only sensible person in this movie, easy on the eyes, with bad acting. The movie is more comedy than horror and the plot is dumb. The idea of 18 wheeler trucks coming to life, trapping the whole cast in a gas station, as the trucks circle around waiting for someone to leave the gas station so they can have at the innocent victims is atrocious and down right dumb. The soundtrack to the movie is limited to just AC/DC and nothing more, that was the highlight of my movie watching. I'm assuming the music was used to intensify the experience in watching such a bad film but to each there own, I still feel everyone should watch this at least once.
