Crossover of the Ages
28 April 2023
The movie interpretation of the crossover comics wherein DC's Justice League meets Remnant's Team RWBY and company satisfies even more than the original run. Those familiar with one franchise but not the other will find themselves enjoying it anyway, with each side given enough context to understand the other, particularly in way of DC fans only just now being introduced to Monty Oum's series. The League's voice cast are newcomers to their roles, with Chandler Riggs, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Jeannie Tirado being standouts in their performances, while those reprising the RWBY characters are just as good as they've ever been at portraying the characters they helped to shape.

The action in this crossover paired with the character dynamics almost perfectly satisfies, while also leaving the viewer wanting more, which they will undoubtedly get when Part 2 inevitably arrives to finish this interesting and unique storyline.

For Every Life
28 April 2023
Picking up immediately where Volume 7 left off, RWBY Volume 8 promises non-stop action, even in the times when it slows to let the story catch back up with itself. A story which takes place across only two days but manages to do so much with the time allotted, and also being the RWBY Volume with the longest runtime thus far. The continued downward spiral of Ironwood on one side, and the arrival of Salem on the other, brings the greatest internal conflict the heroes have faced up until this point with disagreements on how best to save not only Atlas and Mantle, and the rest of Remnant as Salem's tirade continues.

Trust Love
28 April 2023
RWBY's seventh installment gave an amazing portrayal of the concepts of trust, secrecy, deception, and betrayal, from numerous angles with varying justifications. In addition to this, the first half of a fall from grace, almost Icarus style character is given in one of the show's allies-turned-antagonists, whom the volume portrayed beautifully leading up to what the following installment would do as a follow up. The political thriller aspect of RWBY shines in this Volume with its messages of who can or can't be trusted, and its messages of what fear can do to us, whether in our best of times, or worst of times.
