The Confession 4 (2023)
Adulterer?! I hardly know 'er!
This is the funniest video of 2023 that I've seen yet. It's funnier than all three of the previous entries in this series, as well. The manic energy is ripe for humor, but it's just sooooo good beyond that, too. I would choose a favorite joke, but I don't know how I could.
I really liked the previous confessions, but this one is better without a shadow of a doubt in my mind. It's also such a natural direction to take the initial premise.
Overall, this is an incredibly solid piece of content that I strongly advise checking out. It's not long at all, it doesn't overstay it's welcome, and it's so ungodly funny to me.
CC Talks: Jacksfilms ~ Yep, It's A YouTuber! (2021)
The only episode that had the audacity to follow the first one...
This one is a classic. Well, relatively, of course. I really like the editing style of this video and how I implemented the Jacksfilms channel tropes into the reviews of his major series. Also this is the first example of me having any kind of drink on camera. You can see a can of La Croix here. I think that this episode is slightly better than the first one. Although, it is strange how I wasn't able to properly crop his PFP and in later parts I just kinda... Forgot to put it there at all. Also, I really like the subtitle. It's an acronym for "YIAY." Yep, even back then I wanted to put in small details like that.
Triggered: Super Mario 3D All Stars (2020)
My first new review on this website...
Yes, my first review on this site will be on this episode of a series that I'm not, like, THAT invested into. Whatever, it's still a good video...
I'm always impressed by Nathaniel's attention to detail when it comes to recreating menus and logos from games. I love how you can see the thumbnail for his previous and next videos at the bottom of the screen during the intro of this video. It's such a small detail, but it's cool.
Regardless, I have a list of nitpicks with this video. They are below.
He never mentioned how the game's release year is the biggest piece of text on the menu screen. Why is that?
When he put Super Mario Galaxy 2 into the menu via the magic of editing, he never bothered to include the soundtrack CD alongside it. Why would they put in Galaxy 2 but not the soundtrack like they did with Galaxy 1?
If I recall correctly, GameCube controller support was added in a free update of the game. Obviously he would have no way of knowing that ahead of time, so I'm not counting that against him. I just wanted to point it out.
He spends more than half of the video talking about games that aren't mentioned in the title of it.
