I just loved the earlier days and characters. The newer characters especially and mainly the young girl that is always following father brown around is just absolutely annoying to the point that I can hardly force myself to watch the new seasons. She is just really flaky and over the top. It feels like she wants all the attention. She could be a good character in sparse moments if she could get her acting under control. She doesn't feel natural. My 92 yr old grandma can't stand her either. I wish we could have the old characters back. Father Brown is amazing as always. I think they could change things up to be more original and make everyone happy. I absolutely do not care what races, religions, disability etc any character is, what I care about is how good they can act. I believe in merit based rewards. If anyone is good at what they do than that is the most important thing. Nobody wants to watch mediocre acting.
Me and my family have only the best memories surrounding the Grinch. First in the animated class when I was a small child and than this fantastic version with Jim. It made my childhood memories complete and I know it did for my brother Erik too. We just felt genuinely connected to Dr. Seuss through this movie and also the cartoon movie. Jim Carrey really brought to life The Grinch and his stubborn mean heart, but how it could love once again and I think that happens to a lot of us in our hearts! It's the story of renewal and forgiveness. It's amazing God's love. Just remember we were ok born on Earth in order to LOVE GOD.
Man, I love this movie. I remember when I first went and saw this movie in downtown Boise in the 90's. I was a teenager and went to the old Cafe' ol' E movie theater. It's been gentrified now... anyway I remember I took my little brother and his friend to see this movie and the other teenage that gave me the tickets that worked there let me in for free because he thought I was cute. I was so shy and dorky back than I didn't even know how to react to him. I was just like thank you. Anywho, this movie is so good and really speaks to the heart of real American spirit. Real men and women. Living life with standards and principles. The way I was raised and the way I hope the America continues to live. For FREEDOM.
