The Walk (2020)
Strongly recommend!
There is a family of an abusive husband, a drug-addicted wife, and their daughter. Due to the violence of the husband and father, the couple divorces. A divorced wife lives with her daughter and then remarries another man. However, this woman ends up dying of drug addiction and her daughter also dies in an unexpected accident. Her ex-husband and her current husband have each become homeless and wander the streets. These two men, who have known each other from the past, meet by chance on the road, and the two begin an unplanned journey together. During the time they spend together, they influence each other and gain a deep realization about life, love, and family. This movie reminds me of the two disciples who walked together toward Emmaus. Like the two disciples who came to a spiritual awakening after meeting the resurrected Jesus on their way to Emmaus, the two men in the movie accompany each other toward the same destination, gaining the realization they need, and the movie ends with a long aftertaste. The solid composition, detailed directing, dry but warm screen color and natural sound harmonize well, making you immerse yourself in the movie. I strongly recommend this film to those who are interested in life, love, family, failure in life, and recovery.
