The Beverly Hillbillies: The Diner (1968)
Hilarious episode
This episode is a true classic. Jed buys Jethro a closed, ramshackle diner. After much work, The Happy Gizzard opens for business. Once open, anything that can go wrong or be screwed up does so easily. The '6th grade education' wizard is at his best in this one. Steppin' on the red hot grill, spinning stool seats that fly off into space ... A knockout stops to use the telephone. 'Duncan Hines,' as she refers to Pearl Bodine's son, can't even handle that small task. 'The Diner' episode is loaded with laughs. It's a must for the true Beverly Hillbillies fan. And it very likely would convert anyone who isn't a fan.
The Beverly Hillbillies: Topless Anyone? (1968)
Classic Hillbillies humor
'Topless Anyone' is a continuation of 'The Diner' episode.
Jethro's restaurant isn't doing any business. With Granny as the new cook, Jethro expects business to pick up. The idea to go 'topless' also will help.
Of course neither Jethro nor any of the family realize what a topless waitress is. Jethro catches Granny's wrath for the mixup, with the sound of a large skillet across the skull echoing throughout Los Angeles County.
Meanwhile, Drysdale is wooing a very wealthy elderly couple. Everyone ends up at The Happy Gizzard.
Turns out the rich couple are actually hill folk. Once the old man gets a taste of Granny's grits, it nearly takes him back to his youth.
Jethro ends up selling 'The Gizzard' to the man. Lots of laughs, once again in large part to Jethro.
The Dunwich Horror (1970)
To me, this movie stinks
I just finished watching "The Dunwich Horror" a few minutes ago. It's the second time I've seen it in several years. I very well may be in the minority about this. Maybe not. Anyway, I think this movie stinks. S*cks with a capital S.
After reading redrabbitbone's review of this disaster on film I had to chime in my two cents. And as I said, I very well may be the lone person on the island about this. Or maybe one of a few - or a few hundred - but, the bottom line in my opinion: "The Dunwich Horror" is a terrible movie. Absolutely horrible. Definitely not a "horror" or scary flick worthy of being shown on TCM, Halloween or not.

Sanford and Son: Presenting the Three Degrees (1973)
Anybody else love this episode?
"Presenting the Three Degrees" is one of my most favorite episodes of 'Sanford and Son.' The nightclub scene is at the top of my list as far as funny segments of an episode. I've got Tivo. When I watch that scene, I probably replay it five times on average.
Anyone else really like this episode? To me, it's a true classic. Skillet and Big Leroy are big reasons I like this one.
But the rest of the guest cast is excellent, too. Even the extras in the crowd who aren't credited are funny with the way they laugh at all the stuff that transpires. They look so sincere because the things that go on are hilarious.
Sanford and Son always will be one of my all-time favorite comedies. Rest in peace Redd Foxx.
