Girls to Buy (2021)
8/10
Glamorous but very sad movie
21 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the original picture in Polish with English subtitles when it first came out. The language is unfamiliar to me except for some rooted words (I'm Russian), regardless this movie was very much attention grabber with sexy characters (male & female), luxurious dreamy lifestyle one could not even imagine. Familiar eye-candy main British actor from Gabriel's Inferno, yet it's a very very and I mean very sad story. About poverty in some countries which lead poor girls to sell their bodies in escort business thinking it will lead them to a better life.

I can't even begin to discuss how it turns out for some of the characters who end up either dead, forgotten or who knows what happened to them after their virginity is taken. It's just incredibly sad what some people have to go through in order to taste the main gourmet dish which is served cold - $MONEY$.

At the end the moral of the story is, no matter what your occupation is or how much money you make - as long as it's descent, cultural, well mannered business - people will accept you in society. In essence what's written between the lines, prostituting yourself for carnal pleasure is wrong, ungodly, dirty matter of business which comes with a harsh price.

Do I recommend to watch it. Yes, why not. But the movie does not end happy as they have it in 50 shades of grey.

The Power (2023)
10/10
Great series about faith, gives you allot to think about, many religions involved, aspects of control and abuse of power
15 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Just watched this show yesterday 8/14/23 in a heartbeat, was so drawn to it for many reasons. The story is modern based in "now days" sort of society. It's depicting woman worldwide, their "survival" struggles and forced living conditions under men who abuse the situation. The ongoing war of the sexes. The story line is very captivating from the beginning because the scenes jump from different countries of the world. Depicting living conditions and society rules where men dictate the rights. Women in poverty, women enslaved, women living in harsh religious conditions, woman abused, woman raped, woman of faith... etc.

And then all of a sudden sort of at once, woman rise like Phoenix from the ashes because their bodies developed a new organ which posses electric current like some creatures of the sea. Though some mentally broken, most wise woman act decently without rivalry, trying to figure out new rights of women with power who don't even know how to apply it or where it comes from. The power is triggered emotionally on a high rise of female hormones. Which not all learn how to control at the beginning. Of course allot of men feel threatened by such empowerment and many who are in politics who govern, make these immediate restrictions because they no longer feel as alpha males.

So the whole movie rides you on the very thin edge of Equal Rights between Man & Woman in a new evolution of woman with power to defend themselves, male control, and the outcome of the new dawn. Those men who think of them selfs as "Alfa" abuse the power in a wicked unfair way by influencing young boys with hatred towards girls. Which in now days is manipulated on TV and social media for a certain cause.

Theres allot of Biblical references in the movie as well and how belief of faithful people is abused, how they deal with trials, struggle which tests their faith, and pretty much everything concerning Bible and spiritual relationship. I'm a faithful person and particularly religious point of view is very STRONG in this movie in all senses of the word. Especially because one of the lead character which hears a "female voice" which she considers a voice of God who she considers a woman. Those who know (people of faith) will understand the point of view depicted in this movie. But those that don't believe, I'll tell you what. It's a very thin line that draws you closer to God just as that towards the other direction. Even Jesus was temped by the evil one which is written in the Bible, New Testament. So technically speaking everyone can hear God as well as Devil. And the true difference can be recognized in purity of intentions. God will not tell you what YOU want to hear, but he will talk to you with love, kindness and life lessons which you will learn something about yourself. God will give you a fishing rod to catch the fish rather the other way around so one could expand its mind and abilities to fullest potential. Where's the other one will throw chocolates at you, make you feel like you own it, yet after the persuaded deed, will make you feel like you worth nothing, eaten inside out by guilt, with the most unpredictable outcome.

From the very beginning of the age there has always been that battle each and everyone fought within themselves, searching to fulfill that emptiness inside. The show implements a bunch of good characters, or the kind that learns the life lessons. Mentally or physically and who they become afterwards.

So I personally think the whole movie is based on faith in God.

I didn't read the book, learned of it from the movie. But what I've seen so far... gives you allot to think about. And by the development of the story line, looks like there will be allot of bloodshed as in every war, for whichever cost. The "overtone window" is not gonna make a cut in this scenario because of how sudden all woman worldwide develop this power or born with an extra organ which can transmit or receive the current. But there's allot to think about, I would say this movie series is unpredictable.

Endless Love (2015–2017)
10/10
Such a captivating drama but very heartbreaking
26 May 2023
This was my second Turkish show to watch after 200 episodes of Magnificent Century. I particularly loved the male character BallyBay the actor Burak Özçivit and went to search for movies with him. Looked up the ratings, read some reviews and settled on Kara Sevda. Let me warn you what other people did not mention in their reviews about this show. This movie is very eye captivating it will grip you like a sharp hawk claw and ride you like roller coster. You'd want to come back more and more to see the end result yet new themes will pop up unexpectedly. So in the essence you will not be able to tear away till you watch the show till the end and it ain't something you're expecting!

Now the characters chemistry is beyond explanation amazing! There are beautiful attractive males and gorgeous female characters which will pull you in imagining your one of them. The culture, the family values, lies, revenge, betrayals, loyalty, respect, faith, friendships, losses, endless kind of love, is what you should expect to see in this show. It's very uplifting and down-casting all at the same time but it keeps you wanna go back for more.

I cried river of tears after watching this show when it first came out. And it captivated me to the point of breakdown with the kind of feeling as you just broke up with a boyfriend or best friend. It took me 3 months to get over this show to move forward with a new series but with that said, this show left such a powerful impression in my heart that I still cannot fully describe the imprint of the full emotional effect.

It's just a very powerful emotional drama with beautiful characters, even those that are villain. If you are looking for new genera in your regular routine, something that will tickle your nerves and patience, then definitely give this show a try. It's a two season with bunch of episodes but as I mentioned you won't be bored though each episode is 2hrs long. But I'm used to it cuz that's how all Turkish shows are.

So best wishes on the preview! Recommend!

Mr. Wrong (2020)
3/10
Such a lame movie 👎👎👎
26 May 2023
I love all movies with leading man Can Yaman. Have seen almost all of them except for the earliest kind which I will get to eventually so I didn't doubt to start watching the new release. But boy was it so wrong in so many places. Now character wise, there were many familiar actors & few new faces with good character comparability but Can in this roll was such a stupid dumb way too cocky looking character which made him look even more stupid in those retarted outfits. I seriously don't know what age category they supposed to captivate w/this show but I did not like it at all. Plus the story line was super predictable. If not for the new characters, their friendship story and secondary character action I would give this show 1 star despite my favorite dreamy male character Can Yaman. Anyway I'm an endless romantic & I love fantasy genre as well but this show I do not recommend. I would rather recommend to see Full Moon and Erkenci Kus.

Full Moon (2017)

Pretty love story with good cultural values! 10/10

Loved this show as well as Erkenci Kus with lead man Can Yamun. Truth be told I was drawn to the man so much I ended up searching for movies w/him. Never regretted any except the (Mr. Wrong. 2020). That movie was lame. But Dolunay was very captivating, character comparability was amazing. I loved how the man looked at the woman and how they depicted pride over decency. Very good uncomplicated story though not without heartbreaking moments. Many secondary characters had something to show as well & it was very interesting to watch. I've seen this movie since release till today 20 times & recommend it 2u!

True to story but ugly makeup - particularly the FAKE WIG
25 May 2023
Great story line, 2nd movie matched the book at say 95% but "Torn" was kinda made cheaper looking then 1st movie & I super hated Ivy's fake wig, though actress really tried to make it work. Nevertheless it's very very detailed & defined to the actual book so they didn't mess up much as they did in Game of Thrones. I imagined some characters differently but all in all they were pretty nicely depicted though visually didn't really match the description. But you could relate to their deeds hence pick point who the new faces are. I still like this trilogy because I read the books & recommended 2u!

Wicked (2021)

Absolutely awesome 10/10
25 May 2023
I first saw the movie & then read the book. Im fantasy fan. I loved the characters in this movie though the book has better description of details. But I kinda felt their kissing scenes were a bit off, not as passionate as 1 would hope but not bad either. Nevertheless this story line inspired me to read all 3 books prior new movie release. And with that said this film inspired me to continue writing my own book in the same genre. I absolutely disagree w/other reviews movie not matching story line because it's actually like 95% close to the original book. The rest u add up w/ your imagination..

Love love love this funny romantic show, highly recommended!!!
17 January 2023
If you are endless romantic and crave for good fitting character chemistry - this show is most definitely for you. Prior this series I only watched drama Kara Sevda, which broke my heart sort of speak. But this show lifted my spirit. It's funny and captivating, teaches you allot about the culture and family values. And most of all it shows you how a man can love a woman with his eyes and deeds rather then "get into your pants" as it's depicted in modern romance movies. I love love love this show & watched it when it first came out in 2018 & to this day especially episodes 1-14. Highly Recommend.
