Kaleidoscope (2023)
Great idea with bad execution
The whole idea of the show was to be able to watch episodes in whatever order ans still make sense. The only rule is to watch White last.
Netflix made a recommended order, but since it didn't need to be followed, I decided to go my own way. I watched Pink first and it was an enormous mistake. Then Red, and both episodes were post heist, so I knew how everything ended before even properly starting the show.
The show as a whole was ok at the best. It wasn't thriling like some say and I didn't bond with the characters. The plan of the heist was also very messy and not clear, so the story writing wasn't very good.
This is the kind of the show that sounds great but has poor execution. Definitely not worth the hype.
De dag (2018)
Excellent start
The first 6 episodes were magnificent and the twists were great, however episodes 7-10 were a bit slow-paced and seemed a bit not connected. The final two were more like the start, but the ending seemed a bit rushed.
The colour palete was a bit dark and blueish. That bothered me because that is not how real life is (and that series is praised for being more realistic than La Casa De Papel) but it represents the atmosphere of the whole show.
Overall, a very good series with excellent twists, interesting perspective and loveable characters. This series is a good choice if you're looking for a series to binge watch this weekend.
