The Beekeeper (2024)
One of the worst Jason Statham I've seen to date
While I've seen a lot of action movies, and many with Jason Statham, some good, some not so good, and some bad ones. This is one of the worst.
The fighting scenes make him look as if he's a war god, playing with his toys, and while the fight choreography is nice, and often very clean. I kept thinking to myself; what is the point of this. If the protagonist isn't in danger, then where is the thrill? All that, only to have one final bad guy actually hurt him. Not to mention how the "crazy" or more accurately the stupid beekeeper can't even hurt him. Then I have to ask myself again, What is the point?!
Oh and did the head of the wardrobe department just finish playing Cyberpunk 2077, if not, what the hell happend there?
In summery: Unkillable bee metaphore obsessed assassin seeks vengance due to an old lady that should have stopped at making more than 1 rash decission in one single afternoon. If she had just talked to him, this could have ended much differently.
Hunters: Blutsbande (2023)
Worst shot out I've ever seen.
The shoot out at the Los Olmos farm house is most likely the worst I've seen to this day.
The whole thing is just so ridiculous. It is as if the entire thing was an afterthough, trying to make an homage to the farm scene in 'Inglourious Basterds', with the glass of milk sitting on that little table, just before they do the scene in reverse and shoot up through the floor, instead of down.
And after a storm of bullets, the only one who has to reload is Joe. Pistols don't have an endless amount of bullets, so in short, this is the dumbest shoot out.
I personally expected more from this series, and I'm thoroughly disappointed.
